I’m still trying to get over the obsession that is Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I mean sure, it was a solid show. Yes, it featured a young Will Smith who went on to be a mega superstar actor in Hollywood films. But is the show THAT good? Honestly I think it’s the theme song. Seriously. The theme song solidified that show in the sitcom Hall of Fame for memory. Countless media outlets have used their own version of the Fresh Prince song and I would imagine that Smith is still raking it in on the royalties front month after month.
But if there’s one show in the history of the universe of shows I didn’t think would ever do a spoof on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song, that should would have to be My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, which by the way is in its seventh season on Discovery Family. Do you like smiling? Because “this is a story and it’s not even tragic, where we all learn that friendship is magic!”
