When Deadpool was released in 2016, critics predicted that it would achieve only moderate success at the box office and there were no particular plans in place to make a sequel. However, the movie astonished everybody when it became when it became one of the most successful movies of all time in terms of box office success and grossed $783 million worldwide. With this success in mind, it only made sense to release a sequel. The second installment of this action adventure comedy is planned for release on June 1, 2018. While the plot of the new movie has not yet been released, it has been revealed that there will be some new members of the cast working alongside Ryan Reynolds in the lead role.
Here are some of the new faces you can expect to see in ‘Deadpool 2′.
Julian Dennison
Although it is confirmed that Juliann Dennison is in ‘Deadpool 2′, it has not been released which part he will play. This young actor was born in Lower Hutt, New Zealand in 2002. He made his movie debut in the 2013 movie ‘Shopping’. He has also had major roles in ‘Paper Planes’ and ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’.
Josh Brolin
Brolin is another actor who was not in the original Deadpool but has a role in the sequel. Brolin plays the part of Nathan Summers/ Cable. This is a character from the Marvel Comics that made his first appearance in ‘The New Mutants’ in 1990. Brolin is known for movies including ‘W’, ‘Men in Black 3′, ‘Milk’ and ‘No Country for Old Men’. In 2018, he will also be starring in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ in the role of Thanos.
Zazie Beetz
Zazie Beetz is best-known for playing the role of Vanessa in ‘Atlanta’. She has now been cast in the role of Domino for ‘Deadpool 2′. This is a character created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld who made her first appearance in Marvel Comics in ‘X-Force’ in March 1992. Originally, Domino was an enemy of Deadpool and Cable but she later switched sides and became their ally.
Shiori Kutsuna
Another actress who is confirmed as being in the movie but as yet has not had her role announced is Shiori Kutsuna. This Japanese Australian actress was born in Sydney but moved to Japan to further her acting career. Her first major role was in ‘7 Mannin Tantei Nitobe’ in the role of Tsugumi Nitobe. Her most recent film role was for Netflix’s ‘The Outsider’.
Tanis Dolman
Tanis Dolman has a supporting role as the neighbor in ‘Deadpool 2′. Movies in which she has previously had roles include ‘Van Helsing’, ‘Tulips in Spring’, and ‘A Wish for Christmas’. In real life, she is the mother of Seth Isaac Johnson who plays Denny Larson in ‘The Killing’.
Andréa Vawda
In Deadpool 2, Andrea Vawda is playing the news anchor. This is a role she can add to her resume of small movie parts as she has also had minor supporting roles in movies such as ‘The Mary Contest’, ‘Jake and Jasper: A Ferret Tale’, and ‘Cinemanovels’.
