Leslie Jones, Dr. Phil and Jimmy Fallon Play “Truth or Lie” on The Tonight Show

While many people are skeptical about Dr. Phil’s actual skills as a “therapist” or person who can succinctly analyze a person’s problems, you can’t deny that his show is highly successful.  It may take on more of a “Jerry Springer” vibe these days but the man knows how to draw a crowd.  Despite reservations about his psychoanalytical skills, Jimmy Fallon found out on The Tonight Show that Dr. Phil is pretty skilled at detecting when someone is lying.

Leslie Jones also stopped by The Tonight Show and the three decided to play a little game called “Truth or Lie” to put Dr. Phil’s lie detection skills to the test.  She accepted the challenge without hesitating. “I got chased through a drive-thru by a car,” she said, taking a pause. “On a date.” Giving her a blank stare, Dr. Phil responded, “You got chased through a drive-thru…by a car…on a date?” “On a date,” Jones repeated, further emphasizing the horror of the (maybe true) situation. “What kind of drive-thru?” Dr. Phil inquired.

I don’t want to ruin the punchline but let’s just say that Fallon walked off the set because he was laughing so hard.  Check out the segment below:
