Life is a long series of ups and downs. There are graduations, career successes, marriages, and good times. On the other side of the coin there are failed grades, job losses, divorces, and tragedies. And on top of all that is a steady stream of ever-changing responsibilities and obligations, both of which carry the drudgery of routine and boredom while filling our needs and the needs of those around us. If we aren’t careful, we humans can become pretty disillusioned with life in general. We want it all, the whole enchilada, and then when we get it all…the spouse, the great job, the kids, the car, and the house with the white picket fence, we realize that it all is an awful lot to handle. It is only with the best of attitudes and outlooks that we can keep these things from breaking us down, and it is only when we overcome that we can truly feel fulfilled with our lives and be happy
Lauren Kitt Carter seems to have it figured out. She is an actress/writer/producer, fitness expert, trainer, and competitor, and model with a successful and steady career. She is married to a mutually successful man she loves, and together they have two children. When you look at photos of Lauren she appears to be content, the smile on her face is genuine, and you get the impression that nothing bad has ever happened to her. But this isn’t the case. Just like all of us, Kitt Carter has endured her share, if not more, of hardship. After all, your plate can’t be as full as hers without you having to face some of life’s more unpleasant issues. She has had to find her way to the other side of the blackness that tries to encompass us all. But she kept her chin up and pressed on to the other side, as we all must do if we are to make it through this life…alive.

Read on for 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Lauren Kitt Carter:
1. Early Life
She was born Lauren Michelle Kitt on June 3, 1983 in Los Angeles, California; she is a Gemini. Her parents divorced during her childhood, and her mother, who was a con artist, became estranged from the rest of the family. It was a difficult time for Lauren and her brother, Alexander, as their mother was often in and out of jail due to her criminal activities. Her mother’s name is Robin, and her father’s name is Larry, but his occupation is unknown. There is also very limited information regarding her formal education, except that she is a high school graduate. As far as her belief system, she was raised Christian.
2. Career
Lauren is best known for her YouTube channel, which she started in September of 2011. It featured a video series entitled ‘Kitt Fit’, which had a total of six episodes, with some of them featuring cameos of Nick Carter. The videos, which were centered on fitness training, had Kitt showing her viewers techniques to keep them in shape, including boxing, Ultimate Frisbee, and other activity-centered exercises. The channels was discontinued in 2014 as she pursued other career options, but she can still be watched on YouTube. As of July, 2019 her videos had gained many more subscribers, and she has continued to do well. She has also competed in fitness competitions on WBFF, which is a station affiliated with the Fox network. She has also acted, produced and written, and has been involved with such projects as the films ‘The Pendant’ (2010) and ‘Dead 7′ (2016). Lauren also acted in the daytime serial ‘One Life to Live’ in 2013. She is currently very active on social media, with her main focus being on Instagram and Twitter, where she promotes beauty and fitness products and even provides discount codes for her followers to purchase the items.
3. On Nick…
Lauren was introduced to Nick through his brother, singer Aaron Carter, and his sister Angel, who are twins. The couple dated for five years before becoming engaged; their engagement lasted thirteen months. Nick proposed to her while they were visiting the Florida Keys with a seven-carat diamond engagement ring; they were surrounded by friends and family. Nick and Lauren had their respective bachelor and bachelorette parties at the Palms Casino & Resort’s Ghostbar, and then on April 12, 2014 they finally tied the knot in Santa Barbara before family and friends.
4. The Beauty of Children
The pair had a son, Odin Reign, on April 19, 2016 after Lauren endured a 30-hour labor. Fortunately, she was fairly at ease due to her choice to have Odin at home in natural water. Their daughter, Saoirse Reign (pronounced ‘Sur-sha’), was born in the first week of October of this year. Nick announced the birth on Instagram, along with a photo of Lauren and the new baby. In the post he stated, “To my incredibly strong wife…For 2 years I watched you endure some of the hardest things a husband could ever witness. Going through the ups and downs of pregnancy, all in the hopes that just maybe, with a little help from up above, we would get to this point. I’ll never forget the moment you asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I said nothing, but I knew deep down inside what I really wanted.”
5. The Heartache of Tragedy
The birth of Saoirse was a definite time for the couple to be thankful and celebrate. Prior to her birth, Lauren had suffered the pain of a miscarriage only a handful of months after the birth of their son Odin and a full six-months into the pregnancy; the couple had been hoping for a girl when the miscarriage happened in September of 2018. In 2015 Lauren also suffered a miscarriage, so the birth of Odin was a great gift as well. When we consider the hardship Lauren has suffered, both as a child because of the loss of her mother, and as a mother because of the loss of children, we know that this is a woman who is no stranger to grief. It is easy to admire her and the way she carries herself after all of it.
6. Does She Have Any Faves?
Everyone has celebrities that they consider their favorites, even if they are something of celebrities themselves. In Laurens case, she loves Emma Stone and Johnny Depp, who is a personal favorite of ours, so we agree. Coincidentally, her husband Nick happened to appear with Depp in the movie 1990s movie ‘Edward Scissorhands’; he made an appearance as the kid on the Slip ‘n’ Slide. Lauren is also said to love shopping and traveling. The shopping part should make her little daughter Saoirse very happy when she gets a little older!
7. Her Zodiac Sign and Distinguishing Traits
Being born on June 3, Lauren is a Gemini. According to Astrology.com Gemini women are said to be creative, highly intellectual, and good at anything they put their hand to. They have a wonderful sense of humor, and they are loved by most everyone they meet. A Gemini’s love interest should be at least as intelligent as they are, or they will get bored easily with the relationship.
8. I (Heart) Nick Carter
Lauren starred on the reality show ‘I (Heart) Nick Carter’ alongside her husband. According to Backstreetboys Fandom, it was her presence on the show that helped to steer Nick clear of drinking and suicidal thoughts, two problems which he was really struggling with at the time.
9. Ethnicity
According to Lauren, she has a mixed heritage. Her mother was of Irish descent, though she does admit that her mother is adopted from Ireland, so there is the possibility that Irish may not be the only thing in her ancestry. Her father, on the other hand, is Mexican and Native American.
10. Living Abroad
Lauren says that she grew up in a very strict household, as her father didn’t let her or her siblings do much of anything, including listen to certain types of music. When she visited her mother, she tended to get away with everything, and the contradictory lifestyles caused her to rebel, and she focus on her studies properly. The conflict likely also motivated her to move to Tokyo after high school, and she remained there for three years. After Tokyo she moved to Paris, and from Paris she relocated back to the States, where her future was waiting for her.
Everyday people like you and I tend to get a certain expectation about celebrity types. We look at them and think that they lead the blessed life, that they never have to deal with the same problems you and I do. Maybe that is true to an extent due to having a bit more money, but when it comes to life, things are rough all over, no matter how fat ones wallet is. Lauren Kitt Carter seems to be a very positive, motivated, and down-to-earth woman who has weathered life’s storms well thus far, and the result is that she is reaping the benefits for exercising her patience and avoiding self pity. We should all demonstrate such strength. Whatever her career goals, it is our hope that she finds success and satisfaction.
