First of all let’s start of by defining what an ASMR video is because I would imagine that not all of you out there are familiar with what these are. There are a group people out there who make a living with bizarre repetitive YouTube videos that give users “pins and needles.” The term ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) was coined in 2010, but the audio and visual-induced sensation has always existed. If you’ve ever experienced that cringe-worthy, face-scrunching feeling you get when you hear nails on a chalkboard, ASMR is the exact opposite. It’s the chills you get when you hear a beautiful voice singing. It’s the prickly sensation when you hear or see something soothing, without having to physically touch it.
OK so now that you’re familiar with what this is, know that a new ASMR video using none other than Kylo Ren is out and it’s making people not only disturbed but also incredibly soothed at the same time. You have to admit that Adam Driver’s voice (or in this case a very similar voice) amplified with that Vader-esque sound does kind of lull you into a trance at times don’t you think?
