On Kourtney and Kim Take New York episode 2, Khloe comes to town to visit her sisters, and ends up helping one but alienating the other. Scott’s disappeared since walking out the week before but soon turns up at his parent’s home in the Hamptons.
When Khloe arrives, she tells Kourtney that Scott actually called her to confide in her about their problems. Khloe tries to help Kourtney see the situation from his perspective, which is mainly that he feels neglected. Next Khloe tries to help Kim by telling her it’s not a good thing to have distance in marriage so early on. She suggests that Kim visit him in Minnesota when she has free time.
Khloe, Kourtney and baby Mason set off to visit Scott’s parents in the Hamptons for the weekend. Kim has decided to go to Minnesota instead. Before they leave, Khloe barges in Kim’s room too early and wakes her up. Kim is furious. She thinks Khloe always purposely annoys her and never supports her. On their way to the Hamptons, Kourtney gets a call from Kim who is now fully awake and explodes on the phone about being woken up. See the video below for Kim’s explosion. Khloe thinks something else is really aggravating Kim other than sleep deprivation. Kourtney makes a derogatory comment about Kris. ‘She’s just pissed because she’s married to a barking dog.’Nice! Kim then sends Khloe a cell phone message in which she curses her out and calls her all kinds of names. Khloe is taken aback and a bit hurt by her tirade.
At Scott’s parents’house, finally he and Kourtney are reunited. Khloe plays peacemaker and urges them to talk. Scott tells her that there is a void in his life because she focuses solely on Mason and pretty much ignores him. That void is what Scott was tempting to fill by partying. They agree to work on it and seal it with a hug.
Meanwhile Kim hops a plane to Minnesota for the weekend to spend time with her husband. Kris is very excited to have Kim visit. He missed her, but not the living situation in New York. Kim feels unsettled that Kris seems content living without her. They cook dinner together and talk about their situation. Kim wants a compromise, to live together at least part of the time. Kris says Khloe left Miami to be with Lamar, why can’t she? They’re a different situation she says. Kim puts it to him that he needs to meet her half way. He walks out of the room but she follows. She tells him now that he is married he needs to have another priority other than basketball, especially since it’s his off season. All he can reply is ‘you don’t want me to resent you do you’. That was it for Kim and she storms out. He follows her to the bedroom and finds her packing and crying. This softens him up and tries to explain about the distractions in New York. Kim says they can try some alternatives in New York and not live separately. He agrees.
Kourtney admits she is obsessive compulsive when it comes to clutter and feels the need to reorganize Scott’s parent’s house.She says she always does it and that Scott’s Mom Bonnie likes it. Once his parents leave for the day, Kourtney does her thing and throws a bunch of stuff out. When Bonnie returns, she’s a bit surprised by Kourtney’s handiwork. Khloe is embarrassed and doesn’t want to be a part of this. Luckily for her she has an appearance and heads back to the city.
Bonnie speaks to Scott about it telling her she’s not too pleased. Scott tells Kourtney his mom is uncomfortable with all this. Kourtney can’t understand why. What? Throwing people’s stuff out without their consent and your surprised they don’t like it. Kourtney apologizes to Bonnie. Finally she realizes if someone came to her house and threw stuff out she would freak out. Duh. Scott and Kourtney return to the penthouse and surprise, the ice queen suggests they have a date night, just the two of them.
Kim and Kris return the penthouse next. They will work something out about the New York living situation and Kris will get a trainer in New York. Khloe is about to leave for Los Angeles but there are some awkward moments. Kim is ignoring her, still not over their fight. Khloe calls her out on it but Kim won’t address it. The tension in the room is palpable, so Khloe leaves.
On next week’s Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Kim tells momager Kris she plans to go off birth control. Catch it Sunday, December 11, at 10 p.m. on E!
