James Corden and Rose Byrne to Star in Sony’s ‘Peter Rabbit’

One of the most popular late-night hosts is about to head back to the big screen, and he’s bringing a great partner with him.

James Corden, the host of The Late Late Show on CBS who recently voiced a character in the DreamWorks film Trolls, is getting ready to become the voice of Peter Rabbit in Sony’s upcoming live-action/animation hybrid of the classic Beatrix Potter tale. Focusing on the rivalry between Peter and Mr. McGregor, the comedy is a modern interpretation of the story that will blend both styles into one.

Rose Byrne, hot off her performances in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and X-Men: Apocalypse, is currently in negotiations to join the film as well. We don’t know who Byrne would be playing, but it’s said that hers will be one of the live-action roles in the film.

Corden has been a treat during his film roles so far, and fans of his have been hoping for a return to the medium after his CBS hosting duties take up so much of his time. Byrne is a frequent actress in major films, so Peter Rabbit seems like a great move for her.
