Some people seem to think that 50 is the new 30 and if you look at the statistics to see how long people are living these days that might seem fairly accurate, but it still sounds kind of awkward. Of course if you’re popular, rich, and can afford what it takes to look beautiful and young for a prolonged period of time then it might be true. Or maybe some people just have great genetics that allow them to pull it off. In any case, it would seem that Halle Berry and Elizabeth Hurley, both women that are in their 50s at this point, are engaged in what some might call a Beauty War while others might see it as a bid for attention since despite their popularity both women are at the point in their careers where they feel the need to prove that they’re still relevant.
At this point it would seem that Halle Berry has been coming up big when it comes to the numbers since her Instagram account has been going off lately and she’s been seen as the bigger and more popular talent. It could have something to do with the fact that her Instagram features her in a picture that has her wearing an unbuttoned top with no bra, as Cydney Henderson of USA Today was so kind to show. This picture also shows that Berry has been keeping herself in good shape for some time now and still looks as fit as she did when she was much younger. You can’t take anything away from Hurley though since she too has been keeping up her looks and maintaining her shape over the years, creating a very stunning appearance that has managed to draw the attention of many people throughout the world.
Interestingly enough Elizabeth has rocked the same look in her own Instagram photo and it’s been quite alluring to be honest, as it reminds us that no matter that she’s well into her fifth decade she’s still every bit as attractive as she was a few decades ago. In fact if you really want to be honest she doesn’t look much older than she did when she showed up in Austin Powers for the first time. Some might debate this and they’d be right since signs of age are there, but given how long ago the movie came out it still seems possible to point this out and be able to back it up. But if you look at the two side by side it’s hard to really say who’s more attractive when it comes to outer beauty unless you have a preference that guides your decision. Without really getting to know them you wouldn’t have anything else to base this off of course, but as both women seem to get along with a lot of folks it does seem fair to say that they might be decent people and therefore kind of even on that account.
But if you really want to take the tale of the tape even further you’d be better served by going down the list of their accomplishments and seeing just who’s done more in their career. The clear winner when it comes to film and TV would be Halle Berry since she’s done a lot more than Elizabeth when it comes to standing in front of the camera to act. In terms of modeling Elizabeth might edge Halle out but if you go for overall exposure to the fans then Halle wins without much of a contest since Hurley has been in her fair share of productions but has done nothing near equal to Halle’s output or even matched her for acting talent. In terms of being seductive on screen both women have been great, as Halle went all out it would seem in Swordfish and other films and Hurley did her thing in Austin Powers and in Bedazzled since she was the seductive devil that was ultimately out to help the main character as well as herself. In some ways it seems unfair to pit these two together since Halle has had such an impressive career that it was bound to come down to her being the more popular of the two eventually. But counting Elizabeth out entirely wasn’t a good idea either simply because she’s created her own reputation even if it hasn’t been entirely on screen.
What both women have done for their respective industries however has been more than enough to make it known that they’re two of the most attractive and successful females in show business and have earned their places as such, becoming the powerful and influential role models that people want and need. The fact that we’re comparing them in a ‘Beauty War’ is kind of funny since a lot of folks wouldn’t want to choose, they’d likely agree that they’re both on a completely different level.
