Pets are wonderful. They are part of our families and we love them unconditionally, no matter how silly, funky, or strange they get. Dogs and cats are the absolute best and each and every one of them has their own personality.
As an artist, I made it my mission to represent them on canvas. I create bright and colorful portraits without being too realistic, using colorful acrylic splatters and fine line markers. People send me pictures of their pets, and I make a lively portrait out of it. Pet portraits are so much fun to paint!
I like the painting to be different from the picture. The outlines will be the same but the feel will be different. Because what’s the point of having a painting that looks exactly the same as the reference picture? That’s why I work with colors and use an abstract style.
