Hello! My name is Francesca, I live in a small town in Northern Italy and I’m the creative mind behind MosMea. Using needle, thread, fabric and colors I create and paint fairytale creatures: in my portfolio you’ll encounter rabbits, deers, foxes and other furry creatures looking for new owners.
I paint animals on fabric which I then sew into throw pillows and plushies. I come from a creative family but I don’t have formal training in anything I make: I have learnt everything myself (and there is so much to constantly learn and it’s always evolving!). I really love what I do and I work as hard as I can at it: my work combines two of my great passions, sewing and painting. In the past ten years I owned a small fashion lab then I started painting in the summer of 2013 as a way to rehabilitate my wrist after an accident.
I always work alone and make everything myself by hand in my workroom with my white cat by my side: some pieces take a long time to paint but it is never boring because I really love painting and stitching.
