Everyone’s parents have said something that’s been surprising, to put it mildly. What’s yours?

In the heat of the argument, they said they’d disown me. They apologized soon after. It wasn’t such a big deal, but really crazy.

I asked my mom if i was adopted and she said yes we found you in a trash can. BUT my aunt told me the whole story on how my mom was on her phone during labor. So i dont know if im adopted..

My parents are great people, but as someone with anxiety that hurt.

My mom: “Don’t worry, it was just a little guy and his head is stuck in your porch”
This was was preceded by my son (6 at the time) running in the house and yelling “Momma I pet a possum!” In my mum’s defense, she was on ambien at the time.
