It could be that a [easyazon_link identifier=”B07451532Z” locale=”US” tag=”tvovermind00a-20″]Firefly[/easyazon_link] reboot could still happen and there’s a good reason why: the cast could inevitably come back. While a few of them have seen their star power rise in the recent past there’s still no need to worry over whether or not they could be affordable since the budget for such a show should be able to absorb it and allow people to see their favorite stars return. At this point Allen Tudyk and a couple of the others are really the only ones that might need to be considered high maintenance when it comes to how much they’ll need to be paid, but if the cast could make as close to even as possible among them then things should hopefully be able to settle and allow the show to move forward.
Apart from budget issues and availability the show still has a lot of room left to explore the galaxy and no doubt plenty of enemies that are willing to join in and create a bit of drama that could lend itself to a host of creative ideas. Firefly is really more of a specialized show that a lot of people don’t know about but the fans tend to prize above many other franchises that they may or may not follow. The idea is a sound one, and the crew is a band of misfits that people have come to care about and really identify with so it’s reasonable that they could be brought back and allowed to stick around for a while. A good scifi show ill typically find its niche, develop its characters, and then let the creative team have a run at keeping the show alive it would seem. Doing their best to keep this show on its feet and moving forward would be in the best interest of those that are so divested in its survival after all, since without this there could be some people needing to polish up their resumes before moving on.
But hopefully it won’t come to that since Firefly does have an impressive fan base that would love to see it make a serious comeback and take a run through the galaxy again in an attempt to assert its dominance and prove that it’s worth keeping around. Seriously, the characters are well developed, the story lines are clean and clear most times, and there’s no real reason for saying no to a reboot. Perhaps this time around people could get on board and create a big enough buzz that would be able to cement Firefly as a mainstay and keep them around long enough to inspire another movie that might entertain the next generation and make them just as big as other franchises that have been around for much longer. The world of scifi is always in need of something new, entertaining, and on the cutting edge, and Firefly has been there for a while.
They just need a push in the right direction and they should be able to wow their fans again.
