I have been a freelance hair and makeup artist for 10 years and have always dreamed of the day I could do Disney Character inspired makeup. I use mainly drugstore makeup brands to create these looks. And there are no hair pieces or extensions used at all. The goal in this series was to bring Disney Characters to life–I wanted it to be more editorial and yet still somehow lifelike, not “costumey”.
All the models are friends of mine and most with little to no modeling background. Similarly, all costumes are either from my old dress up clothes as a child, or brought as options by the models. It truly is a group effort. I work with an amazing photographer who always challenges my creativity while also fully grasping my vision. His work is breathtaking.
As a Disney fan and past Disney Cast Member, I couldn’t be more proud of this series and plan to continue to add many more to the collection!
