The world of special edition Monopoly games is growing at a rapid pace which should make Hasbro giddy with delight right now. Just yesterday I mentioned the release of a Bob’s Burgers Monopoly game and today that’s been one upped with a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 game. Oh and by the way there’s also a new Dragonball Z Monopoly game in case you’re interested. Here’s a full description of the Guardians game via Merchoid.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Monopoly Game offers fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe a unique game play adventure as they recruit characters from both Guardians of the Galaxy films, collecting bounties and double crossing their opponents while enjoying the classic table top experience of one of America’s favorite board games. The 6 player tokens resemble Star-Lord’s Mask, Young Groot, Rocket’s Blaster, Gamora’s Sword, Mantis, and a Cassette Player. This monopoly is a must have for fans of Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
The GOTG Vol. 2 edition of Monopoly is available to pre-order now with shipping slated for April 2017. My guess is that everyone’s going to be fighting over who gets to be Baby Groot. One things that GOTG is not holding back on this time around is merchandise. I feel like their products are going to outperform the movie itself, though I think studios might not be happy with that result.
