With all of the television shows about the paranormal out there, you are probably wondering how many of them actually have some degree of credibility to them. The subject matter in general means that no matter how much proof is presented, not everyone will be convinced. Some people are much more accepting when it comes to the subject than others. One show in particular, Ghost Adventures, has had more than its fair share of criticism when it comes to its authenticity. However, there are several reasons to suggest that the stories featured on this television show are indeed real. While things might be embellished a little to make the show more exciting, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they are investigating something that hasn’t actually happened. Read through the 10 reasons listed below to find out why this show is worth a second look.
1. Most of the stories can be corroborated
If you look at the places the crew visits, it isn’t very hard to find information from several different sources that suggest that paranormal experiences have been occurring in those areas. When you can get the same information from a number of different sources, it becomes more and more difficult to assume that the entire thing is made up.
2. Zak Bagans got involved because he had a paranormal experience
In reality, this show wouldn’t even exist if it hadn’t been for Zak Bagans’ own experience with the paranormal when he was younger. That set him on a lifelong quest find answers to difficult questions. It only stands to reason that he would be searching for answers that are true, not fake.
3. The paranormal investigators are well-known
It’s not like these individuals can make up a whole bunch of stuff and get away with it without anyone knowing. The people on the show are well-known among other paranormal investigators so if they do something that’s unethical, everyone else is going to know about it because ethical people that study the subject won’t stand for it.
4. Faking evidence is harder than you might think
Even with today’s technology, it’s not so easy to fake evidence and make it look real. It’s actually a lot easier to just record the stuff that actually does happen.
5. It’s relatively easy to tell when something has been added in
More often than not, people can tell when something has been spliced together in the editing room. That means there are plenty of telltale signs when people are faking something or adding scenes in to make something look more interesting than it really is.
6. Audiences are becoming more and more educated about the paranormal
Audiences don’t have a tendency to watch these types of shows and blindly believe everything they see. They educate themselves as much as possible. As such, it’s important for these shows to keep things honest because there is a risk of losing that audience if they don’t.
7. There are people who have actually ridden out with these paranormal groups
It’s not like these individuals were doing a ride-out just for fun. Instead, they’re usually trying to prove that the group in question is full of it and the entire thing is staged. That way, they can let the rest of the world know. So far, no one has been able to prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt with this show or most of the others that are out there.
8. It’s one of the longest running shows on TV
When it comes to paranormal shows, this one’s been on a lot longer than many of the others. If it were entirely fake, it probably never would have made it this far.
9. People have talked to the individuals interviewed on the show
People that don’t believe anything they see on the show have actually gone and talked to the individuals that were interviewed for the stories that have aired. In most cases, the same story that was featured on air was corroborated by those individuals.
10. It’s not always about the show itself
Many people that are quick to discount the show do so simply because they don’t believe in anything paranormal. In reality, it wouldn’t matter if they saw a ghost standing right in front of them that was talking to them and even reached out to shake their hand, they still wouldn’t believe that it’s actually paranormal. Whether they would convince themselves it’s all in their head or that it’s something else with a perfectly scientific explanation, there are certain individuals that will never believe in the paranormal no matter how much proof they have in front of them.

My argument ISN’T thats its not real , My concern is that they over dramatize the events , they taunt , they provoke , they threaten , they don’t cleanse themselves . they use ouija boards, they use witches , they SERIOUSLY place themselves and the team members in jeopardy , all for the sake of ratings . They use orbs , the list goes on and on . they may be ghost hunters but if ANY of them were on my team and acted like that . Id kick them off really fast . poor Aaron , my lord this poor guy , he deserves an award for the crap that the chicken sh** zak bagans has put him thru . and why does he listen to him . Id tell him to take a flying leap . our guys have rule one NEVER GO ALONE . I watch this for entertainment . one problem is the public actually believe we are like that . I have to explain we are more like Ghost hunters than ghost adventures.we never fake data. I can not with a clear mind say that they do not fake date . I believe they do , but cant prove it . if you honestly watch GA and believe zak as this great savior of the paranormal, then you seriously don’t know what a real paranormal investigation entails. in the para community he is the poster child for what not to do or what not to be as an investigator . He is the joke of all of us . he makes the legitimate ones look like idiots . seriously . he may have put the para-community in the spotlight , but its not necessarily a good light . do yourself a favor , watch it with a grain of salt and realize THANK GOD REAL INVESTIGATORS DO NOT BEHAVE LIKE THIS !
