Get Ready For Some Interesting Han Solo Movie Rumors

The Han Solo movie is still very much on despite the fact that Ron Howard had to come in and save it from a most terrible death when it’s original directors kind of bailed on the project, or were let go, or whatever. George Lucas was actually a brief consideration to take over but the rumor that he might say yes died out as quickly as the one that said that Danny DeVito would be in the film. So instead we’re going to get something Howard-inspired which, if history tells us anything, should be straight up awesome.

Here are some other rumors that you might be interested in.

10. Darth Vader will be making an appearance.

Considering the fact that a young Han Solo went from being a scrappy little homeless kid to an Imperial cadet it’s easy to see why we might see Vader. Other than that however Vader and Solo never had much to do with each other on a regular basis.

9. We’ll get to see the cantina again.

Not seeing the bar where Han and Chewie seemed to spend a lot of their time would be inconceivable! Of course they’re going to have to visit the cantina a few times.

8. Jabba the Hutt will be there.

If you get Han then you’re bound to get Jabba since the two were prominently featured in the original trilogy together over past dealings.

7. We’ll get to meet Han’s first wife.

Thandie Newton is taking up the role of Han’s first wife. Bet you never knew he was married before Leia did you?

6. The main actor needed an acting coach.

Hopefully that coach was able to instill a few good lessons into the lead character. It’d be a shame to get a movie about such an iconic character with a guy that can’t act playing the lead role.

5. The film is titled Solo.

Could it honestly be titled anything else? The film is about Han Solo after all, so of course it’s going to center all on him.

4. Maz Kanata might be there.

It’d be nice to see how Han and Maz met and what she really was like when he first knew her. Plus, it’d be nice to see her reaction to Chewbacca in person.

3. Woody Harrelson will have an important role.

He’ll be playing the vicious Shrike, the guy that acts as Han’s keeper/guardian from the books. He’s a ruthless type of guy that uses Han more often than not for his thieving skills but doesn’t always care about his welfare.

2. This movie should set up a Boba Fett spinoff.

As much as people are hungrily awaiting a Han Solo movie a lot of them are absolutely salivating about a Boba Fett standalone movie.

1. Ron Howard reshot a lot of the original material.

Thanks to the lack of attention and direction offered by the previous two directors Howard had to go back and reshoot a lot of stuff that just didn’t fit with his idea of how the film should go. By now though it should be something more than worth watching.

Get excited, Han Solo is going to be coming to theaters at some point.
