General Hospital fans miss Nathan. He passed away earlier this year, and it’s been a great loss to the show. Recently, on a week off from showing new episodes, GH directors thought they’d just show a bunch of the older shows, and they just so happened to the be the episodes that led up to his death. They were sad, and it just made us miss him all that much more. Now that his wife is going through so much without him, and his sister is having a total breakdown, we miss him even more. We thought we might just dig around a bit to learn more about Ryan Paevey, the actor who played Nathan, since we can’t see him anymore.
1. He’s From California
He was born on September 24, 1984 in Torrance, California. He was raised by his mother and his father, with whom he spent years working with in the construction industry. That, of course, was when he was not bartending for a living.
2. He’s Close to His Sister
He’s got a younger sister whose name is Kaitlyn, and they are close. He’s been her best friend as long as he can remember, and they’ve been through their fair share of moments in which they did not get along and they did not have much to like about one another. Like all brothers and sisters, however, they grew out of those moments.
3. He Modeled for A Long Time
Before he became a daytime actor, he modeled. He’s done work for Izod, and he’s even worked with Corona in a commercial. He also did some hosting on Extra, and he’s been in many Hallmark movies as a leading actor due to his good looks and skill.
4. He’s Been in Music Videos
When he was not quite a daytime television star just yet, he was a music video star — and he was a good one. He was in videos with people like Robin Thicke, and he modeled with a few other famous faces. Katy Perry and Cher, anyone?
5. He Wasn’t Planning an Acting Career
His goal in life was not to be an actor. He didn’t have a dream of doing this for a living or anything like that. He simply lived his life, did what he had to do, and he did it well. He was good at his living, and he tried to do other things. This just worked.
6. He’s a Photographer
He loves to take photographs, and he’s good. He takes prints and stills, and he’s been good about printing them. He likes the hobby, and he’s even turned it into a business.
7. He’s A Business Owner
When he realized he could take photos of his travels and sell them, he did. He began a business called Fortunate Wanderer back in 2016. He sells works he made from his travels and other little things he picks up along the way.
8. He Loves to Travel
He’s a young man who likes to see the world. He’s been around a few times, and he’s got a lot more to see. He likes to make sure he’s able to get the most of his travels, and it’s been something that’s interested him for a long time.
9. He Rides A Motorcycle
He bought a bike, and he loves to ride it. He is so invested in this hobby that he once named his bike. She’s still got a name, and it’s Lilith. We don’t know why or what that name means to him, but he liked it enough to use it to name his bike, and that’s good enough for us. Don’t you name your car or your other things when you think of it?
10. He’s Been Badly Injured Riding
Unfortunately, he’s not always had much luck riding. In 2015, he was involved in an accident on his bike that left him with a serious injury. The accident injury he suffered from was a shattered wrist. It took him some time to overcome that, but we aren’t surprised if he still has a little pain and some problems because of it. That is a serious injury, and many people don’t overcome things like that so quickly or fortunately.
