Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos on the HBO fantasy series, was on Conan last night to preview the new season as best he could with Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter. However, whenever the pair asked a more spoilery question, Cunningham joked that HBO had set trained snipers to take him out if he was about to spoil anything about Season 6 (a red dot even appeared on Cunningham’s shoulder at one point), including the death of Jon Snow.
But even though Cunningham wasn’t allowed to say much about Game of Thrones‘ new season, he was allowed to show a clip, which exclusively aired on Conan last night. In the sneak peek, Davos, along with Jon Snow’s remaining friends from the Night’s Watch and Ghost, prepare to protect Jon’s dead body.
“I’ve never been much of a fighter,” Davos says, pulling out his sword. “Apologies for what you’re about to see.”

In addition to the clip above, HBO has also released the official description for the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere. The episode will be titled “The Red Woman.” Here’s what fans can expect from the hour:
Following the shocking developments at the conclusion of season five, including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei’s public humiliation in the streets of King’s Landing, survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south.
Game of Thrones Season 6 kicks off on Sunday, April 24, at 9 p.m. on HBO.
