Fringe 3.16 “Os” Recap

Shortly after, Nina Sharp strolls in to the Harvard lab to speak with Walter but not before providing a megawatt smile at the sight of Peter and Olivia holding hands. Olivia is also smiling… A LOT. It seems she can’t keep her happiness at bay throughout the episode, and jokingly Peter mentions it’s freaking him out (editor’s note: me too).

A distraught Walter confides in Nina, ‘I need Belly, I can’t do this alone.’He starts talking of a research project Bell took on long ago, soul magnets. If he can figure out how to summon Bell’s soul back into a host then he can essentially bring him back from the dead. Nina is unconvinced. She knows Walter won’t fail in stopping the worlds from collapsing because of his imagination and creativity.

They discover the solution Krick has been injecting in his patients is not just Osmium but also Lutetium, another extremely dense element. Mixed together these two elements create a property lighter than air.

Before Krick and his newest patient head out to the museum to find more of these rare elements, we see Krick talking to that same young man he cheered on at the game, his son.

Moments later at the museum, Krick and his patient are caught by the Fringe team and arrested. With Walter and Peter looking on, Krick tells his son he just wanted to make him happy and fix him. His son was happy he says, because he ‘went to bed at night knowing I had a father who loved me.’

Before leaving Walter approaches Krick. ‘I need to know how you did it, How did you defy the laws of physics?’What Walter finds out is that it was an accident, a miracle that had happened.

It seems Dr. Krick was not responsible for the events of tonight, Walter was. Their world is changing properties and what is happening over there is now starting to happen here.

Upon learning this, his quest for Belly continues. He thinks there is an instrument which will activate the soul magnet withFringe 3.16 “Os” Recap William’s consciousness. Knowing that he would entrust this device to Nina, he picks up the bell behind her desk and strikes it. Nothing happens….or so we think.

We cut to Peter and Olivia who in the interest of full disclosure are heading to Peter’s secret office. He shows her everything he’s collected and starts discussing the memory disks. As Olivia looks into a glass case, a faint bell rings and a familiar voice that is not her own comes out of her mouth.

As William Bell, she says ‘Hello Peter. It’s nice to see you again.’

So what do you guys think about ‘˜Bellivia?’How about Peter and Olivia’s first full episode as a couple? Furthermore, what repercussions do you think are on its way with Olivia now as Bell’s soul magnet? What about the similiarities between Peter & Walter and Dr. Krick & his son?
