Fred Savage as Fred Savage Being Savage on Happy Endings

This is a different kind of clip of Fred Savage being kind of savage as Fred Savage when it comes to happy endings. More or less it has to do with his part in the Princess Bride and a short blurb of what he thought should happen in the movie. If you recall the movie, and a lot of us can I’m certain, Fred Savage was a definite part of it but he wasn’t the end-all of the film. He certainly added a good part to the movie since he was the little boy that was sick in bed and was being read to by his grandfather, but it seems safe to say that the characters in the story were considered to be a little more important.

Fred Savage has come back as a known celebrity again however in the last several years. It seems like he dropped off the map for a while after growing out of his childhood roles in The Wonder Years and films like Little Monsters, but his return in films like Goldmember and TV show spots like Law and Order: SVU kind of established that he’d made a return. The only noticeable thing besides his transition to adulthood however has been that in some of his appearances he’s been a bit egotistical when it comes to his characters. In the Law and Order episode he was in he was kind of a jerk while at the same time not trying to be a jerk. Basically he was a killer and a rapist that acted like a nice guy when he wasn’t satisfying his darker urges. He was also the type that managed to seduce his female attorney and convinced her to run away with him until she realized just how evil he really was.

Throughout his career Fred Savage has been seen as kind of a nice guy by some and a bit egotistical by others. It all depends on who is around him and what their take is on him to be honest, just as it would be with anyone. But anyone listening to an interview of Savage can tell that he loves being on TV again. Having been behind the scenes for a number of years as he went on to become a director and family man he missed out on a lot of the glamour and the perks that come from being onscreen. Once he returned he remembered what all that meant. Whether it’s changed him or not is still waiting to be seen, but the idea that he ‘s glad to be back isn’t in any kind of dispute.

As far as endings go it seems more likely that Savage has ended his time away from the camera at least for a while, and has ended the drought on his fame that took over many years of his life. He’s definitely the type that wants to be onscreen and wants to be embraced by the public. Time will tell how well that goes as the years continue to roll on. Perhaps a new Wonder Years will open up for him or the shows he’s been doing will afford him a greater chance at success than ever before.
