Five Young Actors We Could See Getting Lifetime Achievement Awards in the Future

While some young actors have a brief spot in the limelight, for others it is just the beginning of a long and successful career. They will land leading roles in popular television series and blockbuster movies that will catapult their celebrity status and ensure they are continually offered roles until they choose to retire. It is actors of this caliber who are often selected to receive the lifetime achievement awards. Although nobody can predict how the future careers of current popular young actors will progress, here are five young actors who have the potential to achieve a lifetime achievement award in the future.

John Boyega

British actor John Boyego rose to prominence in the 2011 sci-fi comedy ‘Attack the Block’ in which he played Moses. He secured his position as one of the most promising stars of the future when he played Finn in the 2015 movie ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. For his performance in this movie, he was nominated for nine awards. Of these he won two; the Empire Award for the Best Newcomer and the BAFTA Rising Star Award. Since then, his film credits include ‘The Circle’, ‘Detroit’, ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, and ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’.

Cara Delavigne

Cara Delavigne started her career as a model but has now made a big name for herself as an actress. Her first catwalk appearance was in 2011 while her film debut was in ‘Anna Karenina in 2012. She juggled both careers until 2015 when she decided to quit modeling and focus on her acting career. It was probably her role as June Moone/ Enchantress in the 2016 movie ‘Suicide Squad’ that really brought attention to this actress. In 2017, she starred in ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’, ‘Tulip Fever’, and ‘London Fields’.

Ezra Miller

In less than a decade, Ezra Miller has made himself known both to the public and within the film industry. He made his acting in ‘Afterschool’ in 2008. He went on to play roles in ‘We Need to Talk About Kevin’ and ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’. In 2015, he starred in ‘Trainwreck’ and ‘The Stanford Prison Experiment’. Most recently, he appeared in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.

Tom Holland

Tom Holland is a British actor who has worked on stage, on television, and in films. He first began his career in 2011 when he provided a voice for the dubbed version of ‘Arrietty’. His big breakthrough came in the 2016 movie ‘Captain America: Civil War’ in which he played Spider-Man. He reprieved his role for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in 2017 and again for ‘Avenger: Infinity War’ which will be released in 2018. A further, as yet untitled, Avengers film is set for release in 2019 and Holland will once again play Peter Parker/ Spider-Man. He has also played the lead role of Todd Hewitt in ‘Chaos Walking’ which will be released in 2019.

Quvenzhané Wallis

At the age of just 12, Wallis made history by becoming the youngest nominee for a Best Actress Oscar and this is a clear indication that this young star has a bright future ahead of her. The nomination was for her performance in the 2012 movie, ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’. She has also had roles in ‘Annie’ and ’12 Years of Slave’ as well as appearing in ‘Lemonade’, the visual album by Beyoncé. Most recently, she provided the voice of Harper in the 2016 animated movie ‘Trolls’.
