Five Things You Didn’t Know about “Pod Save America”

Pod Save America is more or less a discussion that’s aimed at political discussion and the honest and truthful responses of those that are invited to the show. For those that haven’t been initiated into politics this show is something that might be useful if you ever have the idea to get involved and want to know what you’re talking about. The guys producing and hosting the show will be taking on the subject of politics from a few different angles that you may or may not understand. The good thing however is that it should be easy to figure out if you just tune in and listen.

You might learn more than you think.

5. It’s going to be heavily steeped in political discussion.

While a few people might not be fully interested in this kind of podcast or show it would still behoove them to really pay attention and learn a few things so as to erase any lingering sense of ignorance about politics that might otherwise stain their judgment. This show is about political discussion but it’s not necessarily aimed at any one group or at deriding anyone in favor of giving out facts and honest opinions.

4. Jon Favreau is one of the founders.

No, not that Jon Favreau from Rudy and Iron Man, but Jon Favreau the Obama staffer and speechwriter. If there’s anyone that could talk about politics and possibly make it sound interesting he would be one of them and he’s going to be helping with the hosting of the show. His insight and experience should lend some credence to the show since he’s been around for a while and should have come decent input.

3. It will be on twice a week.

Any more than this and it might become kind of a drag on the viewers, but twice a week should be just enough to keep people interested and keep them expectant for the next viewing to come so that they can learn more and form an honest opinion of what’s being said and what they really think about any pertinent issues. People are inundated so often with politics and the continued machinations of politicians that even discussing it more than twice a week is a lot more than some folks want to consider.

2. The show will feature a wide variety of guests.

The show will feature journalists, politicians, actors, comedians, and so on and so forth as anyone with a valid or at least interesting point of view will be brought on the show to tell just what they think about certain issues and developments within the US. It should be an interesting time simply listening to these people since opinions are what the show is all about in a sense.

1. It’s not about excitement, it’s about honest discussion.

This won’t be a free for all or a callback to a Jerry Springer show. It’s going to be an honest, calm discussion concerning politics and people’s views on what’s going on. If people get heated at all it’s because they’re taking things too personally.

If you don’t like politics you should still tune in just to watch for a few minutes.
