Five Things You Didn’t Know about Nick Robinson

Five Things You Didn’t Know about Nick Robinson

Nick Robinson has done a fair amount since his introduction to show business in 2006. So far he’s amassed a few very memorable TV roles and several movie roles that have earned him a great deal of attention. If he looks familiar it might be that you watched The 5th Wave or Jurassic World, as he’s been in both of those movies and he was even nominated for Best Young Actor at the Young Entertainer Awards in 2015. He’s been in the industry for a little over a decade now so there’s still a lot he can learn but it’s safe to say that he’s been picking it up as he goes along.

There’s a lot of time left for him to learn and get even better.

5. He’s originally from Washington.

He was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. That might not be all that spectacular but it’s something you don’t tend to hear about a lot of actors. Even some of those who are born in Washington don’t tend to claim it so hearing about an actor that comes the west coast, and not just California, is kind of special sometimes. There don’t seem to be a lot actors from Washington really.

4. He made his professional acting debut at age 11.

At the age of 11 he got to play a part in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. It’s not for sure what part he played but simply being in the play is enough to think that he had the confidence and ability to see it through. His parents played a large part in getting Nick into acting, and he managed to get noticed by someone important when he was sent to a type of acting camp to hone his skills.

3. He attended college in New York.

A lot of young folks just coming out of high school don’t want to stay too close to home, especially when there are opportunities to be had elsewhere. New York is a big city with a lot of promise for those that can do the work and make it happen. Nick attended and graduated from New York University, which is something that he can be proud of and can possibly use depending on what type of studies he underwent.

2. He gets compared to James Franco a lot.

It would almost have to be his acting talent since he doesn’t look that much like James Franco. They might have the same loose, casual manner about them that makes them similar in a few ways. Other than that they’re pretty different people.

1. His favorite film is The Big Lebowski.

It’s awesome to see the younger generations still getting into the films that the rest of us that grew up in the 80’s and 90’s enjoyed. It kind of provides a link between the different generations, giving us all something to talk to and enjoy together. Plus it shows that he has good taste in movies.

He’s done quite a bit to this point but there’s no doubt that he’ll keep moving forward as the years roll on.
