With a slew of new faces hitting the scene every few years it’s a little difficult to keep up at times, but Milan Christopher has made no qualms about being heard and being seen. In this day and age you might find that surprising, but it’s true. Christopher has never made any attempt to hide the fact that he is a homosexual and is quite proud of it. This is rather inspiring to be honest as it shows that he is able to simply own up to who he is and present himself proudly to the public without any need to hide his identity. More and more people are beginning to take this to heart and have lauded Christopher for it.
4. Prince and Michael Jackson were his role models
It’s easy to see how two great men such as Prince and Michael Jackson would inspire anyone. Christopher has gone on to state that they were a large part of who he would eventually become. He was inspired by their energy and their larger than life appearances on stage and in public. This would eventually lead him to form his own persona in a way that was fairly similar to his idols.
3. He believes that hip hop demonizes homosexuals
This may or may not be widely known considering that it is in some ways easy to see. Listen to Eminem or any other rapper that goes on and on about gay men and their supposedly awkward lives and you might pick up on the trend. As a gay man and a rapper Christopher is quite open about what he does and how he believes, but he’s also a bit sensitive about the subject considering his views on how the African American community tends to view the idea of homosexuality within the race. If anything, Christopher is trying to bridge the gap between homosexuality and hip hop.
2. He got fired from Love and Hip Hop
Once again this could be widely known depending on how much of a fan people are of Milan Christopher, but apparently he got the axe after asking for too much money for another appearance. Apparently no one on the show felt he was quite worth the money he was asking for and decided to simply give him the boot. He might have been a colorful character, but there’s a good chance he overestimated his own importance to the show.
1. He’s worked with a lot of noted celebrities
One might think that Christopher is in fact a celebrity on par with many others, but that is obviously not the case since he seems to be quite dispensable. He’s worked with Beyonce but decided to go it on his own rather than ride her name to fame. He’s even worked with Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Neo, and The Game, but thus far nothing has really stuck. His career might eventually be on the rise again, but for now he’s another character lost amidst Hollywood’s hopefuls.
