Mexican actress Kate Del Castillo was the connection between Oscar winning actor Sean Penn and drug kingpin “El Chapo,” bringing the two together for a meeting. Kate made the claim that she and Penn had “relations” after the meeting but claims that she never fell for him. She freely shared the information live on “Good Morning America.” She shared this to dispel rumors that she was involved with the drug lord, which she asserted was not the case. 1. She got her break in a Weinstein movie
Kate del Castillo’s break through role in America was in the film “Under the Same Moon” in 2007. We’ve not yet heard her feedback on whether the infamous Weinstein made inappropriate gestures to her as he has allegedly done to dozens of young startlets in the past. She gave an award winning performance in the film that would become the highestt grossing Spanish language theatrical release in the history of the United States.

Del Castillo has accepted several acting roles that have allowed her to portray characters in adverse sitautions. Kate Del Castillo has a heart for people who have been abused and mistreated. she was appointed as Ambassador for the Mexican Commission on Human Rights and helps in the fight against human trafficking. She was appointed to this position in 2009. The launched a campaign called the Blue Heart in Mexico city as a collaborative effort with the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Mira Sorvino just a year after her appointment in 2010. She believes in taking action to help protect those who don’t have a voice or the power to fight for themselves.

The Mexican American actress was born on Octorber 23 in 1972 in Mexico City, Mexico to Eric del Castillo and Kate Trillo del Castillo. Her siblings are Ponciano del Castillo who is an actor, and Veronica del Castillo who is an anchorwoman for a news company in Mexico.

Kate del Castillo has been married twicel Her first marriage was to Luis Garcia. The cople were wed on February 3 or 2001 but the marriage didn’t work out and they were divorced on September 1 of 2004. She went on to find love again and married Aaron Diaz August 29 of 2009. The couple was married for three years with the union ending in divorce in 2012.
