G-Eazy has been around for at least a decade now but has only ever created a few very notable hits that have made him a star. Even with that however he’s placed himself squarely in the spotlight since those songs have elevated his singing career in a way that has allowed him to stick around to this point and continue to create buzz about his name and his brand. You might not know a lot about him but there’s a good chance that you’ve heard a couple of his songs throughout he last couple of years.
Me, Myself & I is perhaps one of his biggest hits.
5. He was raised for a while by his grandparents.
His mother left his father when he was in the first grade and after a while he went to live with his grandparents. Even when they moved to North Oakland though he stayed in the same school. This kind of thing can affect a person profoundly when it happens at any age but during childhood it tends to get even worse since there’s no set explanation in the mind of a child why anything like this happens.
4. He started out as a record producer.
Everyone’s got to start out somewhere and G-Eazy eventually made his way up the chain until he got one of his mixtapes to take off and send in careening into a career. He still had his fair share of ups and downs on his way to being a famous rapper but at this moment he’s at least known for being one of the most popular voices out there and having produced one of the best songs around.
3. He got his start in 2008.
He didn’t really start hitting it big until 2009 but his start came a year earlier when he started becoming a known individual on the rap scene. Since then he still hasn’t quite hit the level of stardom that he might want but he’s still in the game and still making it work since he’s been continually busy putting songs out. It might just take the right track for something to stand out and then allow his career to reach a new height.
2. So far he’s got a few albums out.
He put out an album in 2017 and despite not being something that will elevate him to the degree he wants just yet it means he’s still working. A lot of artists go through periods where they produce great material that people like but aren’t quite at that point where they’re so well known that they can’t walk down the street without someone recognizing them. He could get there one of these days.
1. He did his first headlining tour in 2014.
This is another part of his career that has helped him to become something other than what he started as. Touring is a big deal for a lot of musicians and is one sure way to get massive exposure for their songs and can continue to increase their fame as more and more people become aware of them.
