Five New TV Shows We’re Looking Forward to in April

Every so often a slew of shows will come out that people are psyched to see. As of April there are a handful that are garnering a lot of attention for one reason or another and have been or still are highly anticipated. A few of these look like they might be instant hits while others look like they be a one and done kind of season, but hopefully for some of them it will last longer than that. After all with the likelihood that some popular shows might be on their way out after losing their key stars there will need to be a wealth of new shows coming up to take their place.

And right now it looks like those shows might be here.

5. The Last O.G.

A lot can change after being incarcerated for a decade or more. People move on, neighborhoods change, and people change as well. When a man that used to run his neighborhood in a way gets out and comes back to his old stomping grounds he finds that he no longer recognizes the place. Despite the fact that it’s still the same old place the truth is that being inside made him forget that things don’t say the same for very long.

4. Civilizations

Civilizations have come and gone throughout the history of mankind and none of them have gone without having some sort of impact on those that have come after them. Every facet and tenet of a civilization that has ever emerged has been taken up by someone, somewhere, in the hopes that it will be continued into the future. The truth surrounding civilizations is that no matter what people think, the life we know as of now was shaped by those that came before.

3. Taskmaster

It looks like a ridiculous game show and really that seems like what it must be since the challenges look pretty kooky and the fact that no one gets voted off and no one really loses is kind of innovative and more likely to set up a reality show where people just get to have fun without the pressure of losing or having to go home early. The only drawback is that you’ve got to do some very strange things.

2. Rellik

Solving a murder is usually a rather daunting prospect for any TV show when it comes to realism and getting all the details just right. But having the protagonist solve the crime by moving from the moment it happened backwards, following every possible clue, seems like it might be a window into the past that many people would love to have when it comes to solving the the effect of the cause.

1. The Crossing

When hundreds of bodies are found floating in the water just off shore the local police have to admit that they have no idea what’s going on. When only 47 of them survive the tragedy seems to compound itself. But then when someone comes looking for them and displays an awe-inspiring level of strength and agility they have to wonder just what has been allowed into their town, and if they can do anything to keep the townsfolk safe.

There are a lot of shows coming out soon, pick your favorites and enjoy.
