The time when TV networks start thinking about which TV shows to keep and which TV shows to cancel is coming up soon. As a result, it is time for interested individuals to start speaking out sooner rather than later. Otherwise, there is a real chance that some of their favorite TV shows coming to a close.
Here are five TV shows that are in need of a save:
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is at serious risk of being cancelled, so much so that the people behind it have acknowledged that they are prepared to give the series a finale with Season 5 should it fail to secure a Season 6. Primarily, the series is in danger because it has never managed to claim the same kind of success as the movies, which hasn’t been helped by the fact that it is the last Marvel series to be broadcast on ABC.
Fresh Off the Boat
“Fresh off the boat” is a term meaning that someone is a new immigrant who has not assimilated into the broader culture of their new home. In particular, it is a term used to refer to people with either an East Asian background or a South Asian background, so it should come as no surprise to learn that Fresh Off the Boat is interesting in the sense that it stars a Taiwanese-American family who are struggling with the standard challenges of the immigrant experience. So far, it has received much praise from the critics, but its numbers have been no more than respectable.
iZombie
iZombie is a TV show based on a comic book series of the same name. It is interesting in that it is centered around a protagonist who has been cursed with an affliction that causes her to degenerate into a standard zombie unless she eats a brain once a month, which is she takes up a job at the local morgue. It is by no means a standard zombie story, which has helped it secure a fair amount of praise from the critics. Unfortunately, its viewer numbers have been slipping, which is why it is at risk.
Last Man on Earth
Last Man on Earth is rather odd in that it is a post-apocalyptic that is comedic rather than dramatic in nature. The fact that it has a fair number of viewers shows that its premise has been executed with a fair amount of skill, seeing as how the death of the overwhelming majority of humanity from a disease isn’t exactly the first concept that people think of when they think comedy. As a result, it would be a shame to lose Last Man on Earth as well as all of the members of its memorable cast.
Timeless
Time travel stories are often interesting for the sake of their oddities if nothing else. Timeless is a good example of this principle in action. While not all of it has been great, it would be a shame to lose it as the people behind it are starting to hit their stride.
