HBO is already getting to work on their set of 5 Game of Throne spinoff series. Of these five shows we’re not 100% sure how many will be prequels to Game of Thrones but we’re quite sure that this history behind what we know now as Game of Thrones is going to be explores. What we don’t know is what direction writers are going to take. There are a ton of routes in which to choose from but one person has already come up with a prequel that looks pretty interesting. Right now there’s a unofficial prequel called “The Wild Wolf” which takes place 15 years before the events of Song of Ice and Fire. SyFyWire shared the press release for the short which explains the plot.
“Wild Wolf Films are a small independent film production group from Belfast, home of Game of Thrones and have been inspired by our love of the series to take up a camera and make something ourselves.The short takes place around 15 years before the first episode of Game of Thrones and is based around the events prior to Robert’s Rebellion.
“Brandon Stark, Ned Stark’s older brother and heir to Winterfell, has been betrothed to Catelyn Tully in an effort to unify the houses Stark and Tully. A young Petyr Baelish, living as a ward at Riverrun under the care of House Tully, has challenged Brandon to a duel for the Lady Catelyn’s hand in marriage. Brandon is answering the challenge to put young Littlefinger in his place…”
