What to Expect for Season 5 of The Originals

What to Expect for Season 5 of The Originals

The Originals is coming back this April and hopefully it’s everything you were expecting for season 5. For some people the last season might have ended perfectly, while for others there might have been a few things that they would want to see differently. The carnage and sophistication that can be seen in the photos that are available from the upcoming season should give you at least a little heads up of what’s coming, though you’ll want to know a few more details to go along with it no doubt. After all, people want something to theorize about before they get to the meat of the show.

Here’s just a few things to consider.

5. Klaus and Caroline will be meeting up.

So far it’s been established that she’ll manage to show up for three episodes in the season, but whether or not there will be any romance is hard to say just yet. Right now it seems like she’s going to be focusing on counseling Klaus how to raise Hope and not much else. But given the photos and the expectation of their interaction it might be safe to say that viewers should at least watch for a telltale spark.

4. Hayley has a new man.

She might not be fully done with Elijah, but Hayley is already looking another man, and that’s Declan. Whether or not she will get back together with Elijah is hard to say since she has a lot more going on in her life come this season. As of season 5 she will be taking on more responsibility when it comes to keeping the peace throughout New Orleans as far as the supernatural community goes.

3. Marcel isn’t done with New Orleans.

It’s true that he followed Rebekah to New York in an effort to have a go at a happily ever after story line, but his true heart is always going to be in New Orleans. Considering that Rebekah doesn’t like to share and isn’t shy about making it known this could prove interesting when it comes to the development of the story. It might be that Marcel and Rebekah could be at odds over his involvement with the Big Easy.

2. Elijah will take center stage.

An amnesiac vampire sounds like trouble to begin with since he doesn’t know who he is, but without knowing what he is that could really be a problem. The idea that vampires would have worry about such things is kind of interesting but it’s also a very big plot twist that will be intriguing to see play out. The show might center on this for a while just to see how it affects the rest of the story.

1. A lot of familiar faces should be appearing.

There’s nothing quite like visions, flashbacks, or visitation from the dead to liven up a story and perhaps torture some of the characters. Cami and Mikeal were seen on the set at one point, so it could be that they’ll return in some way as mentioned above in order to mix things up.

It’s already sounding like it might be a dramatic thrill ride waiting to happen.
