Ever since the final Doctor Who trailer dropped, fans have been aching to know more details about the upcoming season. We’ve got Cyberman. We have Missy, Mars, David Suchet, and 1814. We’ve got it all. As they say in the Youtube page, this is the gateway to everything that ever was or ever can be. As we await Peter Capaldi’s entrance into another season that shows a ton of promise for BBC, I’m delighted to share some news that came out today about the series.
Fans who watch Doctor Who are already very familiar with the “To be continued” moniker. According to Digital Spy, fans can expected plenty more. It’s been confirmed that at least twice this season fans are going to be left hanging at the end of an episode.
Long-time Who contributor Toby Whithouse recently confirmed that three chapters in the new series are linked. “Mine is the third part of a three-parter–Steven [Moffat]’s done the first one, Peter Harness did the second, and I’ve got the third,” he told Digital Spy.
He is also credited with writing episode eight of season 10. “It’s set [in] modern day. And I think anything more than that and Steven will come round and kick me in the shin,” he said (probably joking). The trio of adventures, Digital Spy reported, features “the Monks”–a new threat in the form of walking-dead-like creatures, who make a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in the latest BBC trailer. Other unfriendly faces include Missy, revamped Ice Warriors, Mondasian Cybermen, and Daleks, as well as a slew of new villains set to give the Twelfth Doctor and new mate Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie) a run for their money.
With regards to additional news about Doctor Who……to be continued.
