Dexter’s fourth season is right around the corner, September 27th is the day. Of course, some of us have had an elicit peek at the premier of the Michael C. Hall starring study in morbidity, and basically we love it. Now Showtime has offered fans a subtle peek within the Dexter-verse with a set of promo pics from the first and second episode of Dexter.
Dexter, if you didn’t know, is a serial killer who also works as a blood spatter analyst. He was raised by a police officer father who was aware of Dexter’s sociopathic tendencies and instilled in him a code. Dexter essentially satisfies his urge to kill by taking out bad guys that elude the justice system. Batman with less armor and more blood, and no butler.
Last season had the unlikely sub-plot of Dexter preparing for a wedding and fatherhood. Season four of Dexter begins with all of that well under way as a weary Dexter tries to fit in some time to kill. Don’t worry, he does. John Lithgow guest stars this season as a prolific serial killer that has managed to stay off the FBI’s radar, well except for returning character Agent (former) Lundy played by Keith Carradine.
One can only guess where things go from here. Is Dexter going to become infatuated with the crimson perfection of Lithgow’s trinity killer, or will the rigors of his new life final cause Dexter to make the mistake that gets him caught? Until things kick off for real, here is a look at Dexter season 4.
