As many of us know, comic book movie trailers have practically become their own subset of movies. Not only are feature films hyped to no end, but the trailers themselves get announcement dates and are even rated by the majority of movie goers. Personally I like a good trailer but it has zero effect on my anticipation of a movie and it never will. It got me into trouble in the past and I have no doubt could get me into trouble now.
Another set of movie clips that are starting to gain steam are the post-credits scenes. Often times films tease that if you stay and watch the end-credits that you’ll be treated to a little extra scene. I happen to love when movies show their bloopers during the end-credits but nowadays comic book films are showing us a little extra. What if Logan had treated us to an end-credit featuring Deadpool? You’re in luck because a fan decided to make their own little scene that takes place 2 weeks after Logan’s death and it’s kind of awesome.
Here’s the description of the scene from Comic Book
The fan-made clip begins two weeks after Wolverine’s death. We see Deadpool walking through a thick forest with a metal detector, and it let’s him know when it has detected Wolverine’s admantium buried under his rock-piled grave. The makeshift cross is still at the head of the hero’s grave and turned on its side, resembling an “X” and signifying the last of the X-Men.
Deadpool drops to his knees, appearing to mourn Wolverine. He gets a call – X-Men: The Animated Series ringtone goes off – from Colossus (a.k.a. Ivan Drago), but he declines to answer it. He tosses the cross without any care and then pulls out a piece of paper depicting cartoon versions of Wolverine and himself teaming up for a lucrative sequel. Within and at the bottom of the wrinkly paper is a syringe filled with some sort of substance will bring Wolverine back to life. Will he use it?
