Days of Our Lives fans got a long list of our favorite female character changes yesterday, and you know that that means. It means it’s time for us to share with you the men who have changed their personalities, their businesses, and their lives for the better. These are men who have made things so much better for themselves that they’ve actually had a lot of help getting to where they are today. They might not be all the men who’ve gone through a serious change, but they are the kind of men who go through things that they see fit. They are the kind of men who do what they need to do. They are still here. They are gone. They are everywhere, and they are our favorites.
Steve Johnson
We miss him more than anyone else in the world on this show, but we know that he had to go. He was done with the role, and he was someone who had a chance to move forward. Things didn’t end the way we thought they would, which makes us hope that he will eventually be back. But for now, he’s a man who has a lot to offer if he does. He began his life in Salem working as a man who was not a nice guy. He was nothing more than a straight up thug. He was a small time bad guy who did nothing nice or productive, and he didn’t make good choices. He worked for Victor Kiriakis and even Harper Deveraux. He made poor choices.
But he’s come around. He’s become the kind of man we all like and appreciate. He’s become someone who would do the right thing over the wrong thing. He will also do anything and everything he can to protect the people he loves. He’s someone who has a chance to make his life a better one, and that’s the best kind of good news. He’s a person we miss, but he was also one of our favorite — and best changes.

We cannot talk about change without talking about this man. We suspect he might be back in the near future with all that is going on right now, but we don’t know for certain. We don’t know that he is going to return, but we do think that there is a chance we might just get to see him again. And that’s good news. But for now, let’s revisit the past. There was a time when he was the kind of man who was so bad. It was a situation that was not good for anyone, and we think that there is a good reason he became a much more likable kind of guy. He was making poor choices, and people hated him.
There was a time when he blackmailed Sami and made her sleep with him. There was a time when he was a mess alongside his father, and he did bad things in the business world. There was a time when he did things that made him a horrible person that no one liked. But there was a time when he changed. We think he did it for Sami because he loved her. There was just a moment when he appeared to be the kind of mad who changed.
He had affairs. He lied. He changed, and he did the right thing. We think much of what he did was for Sami and because he loved her so much, but that didn’t work out so much for him all the time. She had a past, and she had issues of her own. She had other men in her life, too, but he would do anything to be with her. He would do anything to keep her in his life, but he’s gone. He’s dead as far as we know, but we do think that there is a good chance he will come back from the dead and make us all into believers if we give him a chance in the near future. It’s one of those things that just works for all of us and in our lives.
