Days of Our Lives fans watched this week as Rafe opened up to Kate about what happened, but it doesn’t change the fact that what’s done is done. He is aware that he didn’t cheat on Hope and that he was free in that time to do what he wanted to do. She ended their relationship, gave him back his ring, and told him it was over. The fact that it took him all of three seconds to fall into bed with Sami isn’t great news and it won’t make Hope feel that she mattered all that much is not the biggest problem.
The biggest problem is that he did not tell her when they got back together. She spent her time imagining that they were just fine and things between them were good. They were not. And now he is in a place where he has some questions to answer.
Now he has lost the woman he loves and is married to, and there is very little he can do at this point. The ball is all in Hope’s court, and she’s not all that interested in doing much to get it out of his court. She’s got her own issues to work through, and she’s not looking to make them bigger. She just wants her son’s wife to end things for her by drawing up the divorce papers he doesn’t want to see cross his desk. But he has little choice in this matter. Can Kate help?
