Days of Our Lives fans aren’t going to hate seeing what Chad does to Stefan. When he walked in and found his brother in bed with his wife, he lost his mind. He lost it badly enough that he beat him up so badly he has a very slim chance to live. He’s not going to get away with it, either. You see, most people would not understand why he’s so upset about this. But Chad has learned that his wife has a multiple personality disorder going on — and that means his brother is doing more than just sleeping with his wife.
It means he’s raped his wife. He’s brought a woman to bed against her better judgement. He knows that Gabby is in control and that she is the personality out and about right now, but it’s not Gabby’s body. Chad realizes that his half-brother just raped his wife, and he’s furious. So he beat him up. And he might not live.
In fact, the doctor’s say he has a less than 50 percent chance of survival at this point, and that’s not good news. It’s really bad news for Rafe and Hope who now have to arrest Chad for doing something they don’t entirely disagree with. He can’t beat people up and almost take their lives, but what Stefan did was beyond awful, and everyone mostly sees Chad’s point of view in this situation. And that’s difficult for these two officers of the law to cope with now.
