While it may not draw as many eyeballs as a Dave Chappelle or Louis C.K. stand up special, I’m just as psyched about Norm Macdonald’s comedy special on Netflix. Entitled “Norm Macdonald: Hitler’s Dog, Gossip, and Trickery” Norm takes a look at modern day society and breaks it down in only a way that he knows how. By using his completely dry, random, and in my opinion genius sense of humor.
In my opinion there are two camps when it comes to Norm Macdonald. There’s the camp that couldn’t stand him on Weekend Update and there are those that thought he was the best Weekend Update guy in the history of SNL. I’m in the latter camp and I feel that if you’re in the first camp it’s because you just “don’t get it.” Not that there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just that you’re trapped inside the Matrix while all us Norm Macdonald fans know exactly what it is.
Having said that, even if you didn’t like him on SNL, you have to give his stand up special a shot. Check out the trailer below:
