Conan O’Brien Welcomed to Mexico by Lucha Underground Stars

At this point in the game it’s almost hard to get surprised by anything Conan O’Brien does.  So when we found out that he’d be visiting Mexico amidst all the tension that the U.S. is having with them, that was basically par for the course.  But I think it’s safe to say that no one could have predicted what his welcoming would be like.    According to Uproxx

Conan introduced a bizarre video on the episode, saying that a Mexican talk show host named Jesus Guzman had taken it upon itself to round up a gaggle of Mexican celebrities, personalities, and people on the street to welcome Conan to Mexico. And what’s a roundup of celebrities without some danged old lucha libre in there? Sure enough, AAA sent Aero Star and Argenis as their representatives.

The stars then proceeded to impersonate some of Conan’s most popular dances moves.   Conan Without Borders: Made In Mexico will debut on March 1 on TBS.  While there’s no guarantee of any other star wrestlers to appear on the show, something tells me that these guys are only the tip of the iceberg.

I think the crowd and internet will go insane if Conan actually has access to Mexican President Enrique Nieto.  I wouldn’t put it past the show and see these two shake hands and do something hilarious.
