Luckily for Colby, his father has always held his hand through his musical journey and even says he is Colby’s biggest fan.

Maybe the fact that he chose to sing a country song gives his home town away to be somewhere in Texas. Colby is from Midfield, Texas and even Bryan has no idea where that is so Colby explained that it is nowhere near Houston. No parent wants to watch their child suffer from an incident they have to deal with therefore to help Colby cope with the reality that his mother had abandoned them, Colby’s father encouraged him to pursue music. Now it is paying off since Colby is heading off to Hollywood.

8. The judges took a chance on him

Colby Swift’s singing is not as polished as judges would like it to be, but Luke Bryan felt an instant connection with him that he decided to give the teenager another try. Therefore he requested Colby to stop stringing his guitar and do an acapella which sounded much better but still, Luke, not wanting to seem biased asked the other judges, Katy and Lionel, to deliberate and they thought it best to give Colby a chance to go to Hollywood.

Colby replied that he already wrote and it would take them by storm if they listened to it.
