People doing Rogue One Cosplay isn’t strange at all. In fact it was quite common after the movie came out and it’s quite common now. However, I think it’s safe to say we haven’t seen a Rogue One Cosplay like this. Chirrut ÃŽmwe, aka Donnie Yen’s blind guy from Rogue One, is a pretty cool character but surprisingly no one’s done a cosplay of him…..until now.
Chirrut ÃŽmwe was a blind human male born on the moon Jedha in 52 BBY. One of the Guardians of the Whills, an order of spiritual warrior-monks, he was active during the days of the Galactic Empire and worked as an itinerant preacher in Jedha City. Alongside his friend and protector, Baze Malbus, ÃŽmwe became part of a volunteer group of Rebels tasked with stealing the plans of the first Death Star. ÃŽmwe died during the Battle of Scarif in 0 BBY after assisting Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor in breaking into the Imperial archives.
Hopefully after this gallery has made its rounds on the internet, more people will get in on cosplaying ÃŽmwe.
