If Children’s Cereal Commercials Were Completely Honest

If Children’s Cereal Commercials Were Completely Honest

We’ve been getting our fair share of cereal commercials for what feels like a century.  Actually it’s pretty close.  If you count all of the print ads for cereal you’re really going back to the 1930s and 1940s.  But since the advent of television, cereal companies have been pushing their products on us for decades.   Since the majority of us still don’t look at nutritional labels or do any of our own research on the food we buy, these companies have been feeding into that and will continue to until we wise up.   As of now it’s as if sugar cereals are the panacea to all of our health problems.

Website Cracked decided to do their own parody commercial for Children’s cereal that dives into some of the more realistic and pressing issue concerning cereal: constipation and thinking about sex.  After all, what else do sugar cereals concentrate on?  Also, did you know that eating an entire box of Cocoa Puffs isn’t good for you?  Yeah, me neither.  If only a company like Horton Cereal actually existed I think I’d be completely on board with their products.
