The Bold and the Beautiful fans are seeing that Eric does have some concern in his heart. He’s not worried about his wife or his son, Ridge, but now that his granddaughter knows what happened, he’s sad. He knows now that Steffy is aware of what is going on, and he is worried about his granddaughter. Despite everything else going on in their lives, he loves her very much. This means he wants to see her happy, but he can’t do that when this is all happening.
He will show some serious effort to her right now, but he won’t care at all about his wife or Ridge. Steffy might ask him to forgive her father, but we don’t know if she will. She could — but she hates Quinn. With that kind of hatred in her life, it might make her feel differently about her own father. This means she might want to forgive him, either. She might encourage her grandfather to write them both off.
But Eric will not forgo his relationship with his granddaughter. He will continue to support her, to make her happy, and to do what he needs to do to keep her happy and in his life. This is one thing he will not waver on, and we don’t blame him. He’s not going to forgive right now, but he’s also not going to ruin his good relationships with his grandchildren over his son’s poor decisions. He has to figure out how to keep his family together in this time.
