Story lines on WWE are sometimes tough to follow either because they are so horribly written or because there’s really no chemistry between the participants. Every now and again though there are those that genuinely seem to hate each other on screen no matter if they’re good friends when the show’s over. Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman are two of the most dominant men on the roster as of now and WWE have decided to against one another in an epic clash that pits “The Big Dog” against “The Monster Among Men” in a titanic struggle that seems one-sided but is in truth a brutal back and forth melee that has yet to let up.
Both men have brutalized one another in a manner that seems to defy the easy logic that tells many people that the show is staged and not entirely real, inviting such bodily harm that even the most jaded fan can only cringe and wonder what might go on behind the curtain. Despite not being 100 percent real, the lengths both men go to seem quite extreme.
Here are the Best Moments-Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman
5. Fastlane PPV, March 5th
Although there was plenty leading up to this moment, this brief culmination of the feud between Reigns and Strowman was felt throughout the arena as they went after one another with everything they had. Tables were broken, the landscape outside the ring was used as a weapon, and the titanic battle between two of the WWE’s best big men did not disappoint as they brawled in a fashion that even the harshest critics couldn’t deny was impressive. Plus, the Big Dog taking down Strowman with a spear seems like the best finish possible for this match.
4. RAW, March 20th
There would be several key meetings between Reigns and Strowman before and after Fastlane, but unlike the pay per view, Reigns would not always come out on top. In this particular contest the Big Dog didn’t seem to be doing too well when he attempted his move, the drive-by, when Strowman countered and sent him reeling to the mat. However, Reigns would eventually gain the upper hand only to be halted in his tracks as his new feud with The Undertaker suddenly took precedence as “The Dead Man” appeared in the ring and chokeslammed Strowman.
3. RAW, April 10th
Following Reigns’ monumental match with The Undertaker, commentator Michael Cole was trying to get the Big Dog’s thoughts on what it meant to finally retire such an iconic figure when Strowman literally crashed the interview. Reigns had no chance to mount an offense as Strowman manhandled him backstage, an event which culminated in severe injury to Roman Reigns.
2. RAW, April 30th
Following the Payback pay per view event, in which an injured Reigns took on Strowman once again, this footage was taken backstage showing a battered Reigns attempting to seek medical attention. Strowman, in his usual fashion, came barreling at the Big Dog after decimating Reigns in the ring, only to suffer a misstep it would seem as Reigns dodged aside, allowing Strowman to slam into the ambulance door, tearing it off its hinges. Reigns would then pick his spot as Strowman suffered a shoulder injury as Reigns slammed the other ambulance door into him repeatedly.
1. RAW, May 8th
The feud gets hotter as Strowman initially had a match with Kalisto, but decided to trick the much smaller man into thinking that he wouldn’t compete. Instead, Strowman attacked Kalisto after the bell had sounded signalling that the match had begun. It only took a short time however for Reigns to appear. After three superman punches he went on to brutalize Strowman until the big man sought refuge in the crowd where he fled for higher ground.
As feuds go in the WWE this one is heating up nicely as the weeks go by. One can only wonder what the eventual outcome will be, but it certainly won’t be boring.
