If you aren’t familiar with who Tina Guo is then you really should be. A few weeks ago I shared an amazing video of her covering Skyrim’s “Dragonborn” song on the cello, although she’s more well known for the work she did on Batman vs. Superman. Guo is up to her amazing musical tricks again and this time she’s taking on Wonder Woman. The electronic cellist who helmed Hans Zimmer’s powerful theme for Wonder Woman’s action scene in Batman v Superman, has teased an insanely awesome metal version of the song, making fans more pumped that she’ll be back for the Wonder Woman solo film. Guo shared some clips on Twitter of her work on a new Wonder Woman single, which is infinitely more hardcore than the original version (don’t get me wrong, though, “Is She With You” is pretty damn good). It’s not clear whether this is for a personal album, or related to Wonder Woman’s upcoming debut. It’s most likely the former, but either way, we’re hyped.
While Guo is a classically trained musician, it’s obvious she’s a huge fan of metal and tough riffs. She’s one of the few cellists out there who has found her way into the mainstream. Her stunning looks also help but wait until you listen to these clips. You won’t even be noticing her aesthetic beauty.
