I’m an architect and artist from Dhaka, Bangladesh. After losing our first child back in 2014, we waited for another one for 4 years. In 2018, finally our baby girl was born and I wanted to make it really special. I drew the daily life with my daughter from the time of pregnancy on a regular basis and hope to continue drawing more. I tried to capture the memories of raising a child through my drawings. So that when our daughter grows up she can go through these memories and know how our lives have been blessed with her.
The compositions, style, method, and media of the illustrations are kept quite simple for maintaining regularity of the drawings. Brush pen and ink is used. I try to maintain a sketchbook for this purpose. The artistic style is inspired by “Gazir Pat” and “Patachitra”, a traditional art form from Bangladesh.
