Last, but not least, what are some of the things that you are looking forward to and hoping to see in the second half of the season?
Andy Behbakht: I am interested to see how Felicity will come out of this incident and if there will be some major consequences from it, which I think there will be. It’s going to be fun to see Roy Harper (finally) return and hopefully, if the powers that be allows it, stick around for a few episodes. I want to see more female-themed episodes with Black Canary, Speedy, and Felicity (who will soon be getting her own code name, yay!), because while we may not be able to get a Birds of Prey TV show, I think Arrow should at least have a few episodes every once in a while that feature the women working together. While my hopes are low, it would be the greatest thing in the world if these flashbacks would actually get interesting because so far, that has been the weakest aspect of Season 4. Overall, I’m just looking forward to how this second half will play out because boy, has Damien messed things up or what!
Sean Colletti: Once Legends of Tomorrow drops, I’m really hoping for the final arc of this season of Arrow to be long and focused. Again, the best thing this season can do to get the series back on track is to not worry about being flashy at every opportunity, introducing too many new characters and new ideas. The fight against Darhk involves everyone in the show, in some way or another. So, the last few episodes need to be about that and nothing else. No melodrama on the side and no disjointed flashbacks. Season 4 has been good about this so far, and Season 2 is a great example of how it can be done; the presence of magic in the past and present plots can provide a similar satisfaction to how Slade vs. Oliver was the focus of the flashbacks and the contemporary stories. It just has to stick that landing.
Jasef Wisener: The biggest thing that I’m looking forward to in the rest of the season is watching the way that this team recovers from what they’ve just gone through and seeing how they come together to finally take down Damien Darhk.
Laura Schinner: Arrow has done a lot right this season but one decision they’ve made that I still struggle with is Oliver not telling Felicity about his son, William. The writers have explained why they did this, stating that Oliver feels he needs to keep his promise to his son’s mother. I prefer to think the reason behind him not telling her is that in the crossover, Barry led him to believe that Felicity broke up with him in the other timeline because he has a son, when in reality it was because he didn’t trust her enough to tell her about William. It makes more sense for Oliver to be afraid to tell her out of fear that it would end their relationship. Regardless of his reasoning, I think it’s of utmost importance that he tells Felicity about William early on in the second half of the season. Keeping secrets is something that never works out well for characters on this show, and yet for some reason, they continue to do it. While Oliver’s proposal to Felicity was beautiful, it was tainted by this lie, and I hope that in the second half of the season this is quickly resolved. It won’t be without consequences, since Oliver clearly made the wrong decision by not telling her, but by the end of the season, I’d like to see the two work through this and come out even stronger.
Blaise Hopkins: I’m excited to see where things are by season’s end. As I previously mentioned, I’m expecting some great things from Oliver and Stephen Amell but also Team Arrow as a whole. Felicity’s injury is going to impact everyone and cause them to all seek revenge. I’m hoping to see some of the biggest bonding the team has ever had. I would also hope that this might be reason for the team to bring Curtis in on everything as a trusted and gifted replacement for Felicity until her fate is fully revealed. Also, Roy Harper returns. That’s easily what I’m most excited for.
Nick Hogan: I always enjoy the character evolutions on this show. I’ve really enjoyed watching Oliver turn into a happy human being who can cook and gets engaged. So to watch Diggle and Thea deal with their demons, Captain Lance work through the situation with Darhk, Felicity recover from her injuries, etc., is what I’m most looking forward to. Oh, and the Roy Harper return sounds like it’s going to be pretty cool. Just sayin’.
Chris King: Damien Darhk continuing to be an awesome villain, Diggle struggling to bring the brother he used to know back from the brainwashing he endured, more of Thea’s terrific development as a hero (Thea’s really become the best), more strong family moments between Laurel and Quentin (and Sara, too, if she wants to stop by), Roy Harper’s parkour-filled return, Oliver telling Felicity the truth about his son, and the two of them becoming a stronger, even more united couple, especially following their engagement (Oliver’s proposal was wonderful). It’s been a great season of Arrow so far, and I just hope that it gets even better during its second half.

I agree with the Felicity part. She’s done all she can in the show. It is time to end her arc. Shippers be damned. I’m sorry but while she’s not annoying this season, I think the character has ran her course.
Darhk is a pretty good villain. One of the best things about the season besides the show getting back on track. It feels like the Areow season 2…until we see Felicity and Oliver. I was annoyed that he wasn’t that worried about his sister in the MSF. I dunno, I think season 3, Pretty Woman acting Felicity just turned me off to that character.
If Felicity has to leave for Oliver and Laurel to happen, that says a lot about the potential for a relationship there doesn’t it. Also in the last episode it was pointed out that they needed Felicity to rescue Felicity (and the others). So how would the team be better off if she left?
I agree that Damian Darhk has been the best villain yet on the show, and Neal McDonaugh is killing it in the role.
While it’s progress that Oliver and Laurel have reached a good working relationship, Laurel, with her one year of fighting, zero strategic experience and impulsive decision-making, is not Oliver’s equal. She’s not even as well trained as Thea who spent seven months being trained by Malcolm Merlyn and know archery and sword-fighting in addition to hand-to-hand.. Laurel is Oliver’s equal in the comics, not on the TV show.
Echo Kellum is also working on another TV show which may be why he’s not on Arrow more..
As someone (not me) cleverly noted “if it weren’t for Felicity wanting to do the superhero thing, Oliver
would be a retired ex-billionaire ex-vigilante in suburbia right now”. The team functioned all summer without Oliver but they needed Felicity.
