There are a lot of pretty faces in Hollywood, and Alana De La Garza is one more but she is one that is also valuable for more than just her smile and her looks. Throughout her career thus far she’s proven that she can be a challenge to many men on the set and that alone is worth it’s weight in gold since it means she can’t be intimidated, at least not easily, and is able to work with just about anybody that is willing to work with her. That attitude of “I can” is great to see in anyone since it means that they’re willing to get in there and make it happen no matter if it’s a difficult job or a cake walk. She is quite stunning really but her personality is a huge accompaniment to this and makes her even more appealing as she seems like a very nice person to work with. The fact that she knows what she’s doing on the set and can take cues and even roll with the moment as she needs to is even better. There are a great many people like Alana but the trick is to find those that are willing to do the work and those that are able to make the job that much better.
Here are a few things you might not have known about her.
10. She’s married to a writer.
I almost want to say I’m sorry but not really because the two were longtime boyfriend/girlfriend and it seemed fated to happen. Besides, by that time she had to know that a writer tends to have to keep up on their job, which can mean long hours at some points in their career and no hours at the low points. The women that stay with those that write are often strong-willed, and that seems to be the case here.
9. She had her kids in her 30’s.
She had her first child at the age of 34 and her second at 37. It kind of seems like she might have wanted to get her career moving ahead before she started her family. That’s completely understandable to be honest.
8. She played the same character in three different Law & Order series.
The Law & Order series are known for allowing their characters to cross over, and Connie Rubirosa managed to show up in three different shows. She’s not the only one, but she was one of a handful.
7. She hasn’t starred in a movie since 2013.
Since then it looks like she’s stuck mostly to TV. Perhaps wanting to spend more time with her family had something to do with it. Or it could be that TV is her niche as she’s had far more roles on the small screen than she has on the big screen.
6. She was in the romantic comedy Mr. Fixit.
The movie was about a guy that spent his life trying to fix other people’s relationships, but was terrible at trying to woo the one woman that he found that he really wanted.
5. She was a special needs teacher at one point.
Anyone that’s done this knows that the job can be entirely rewarding but it does come with its own set of challenges. Kudos to her for having done it for however long she did as this kind of a job makes a big difference.
4, She won “Miss Photogenic” in the Miss El Paso Teen USA pageant when she was younger.
You can certainly see how she might have won this honor since she does seem to shine in the camera a bit. It’s not the biggest title but it is something at least and in a pageant that seems to be enough to be proud of.
3. She’s been featured in a couple of music videos.
She had a spot in a Brooks & Dunn video for Ain’t Nothing About You and other for a boy band named O-Town titled All or Nothing. It seems safe to say that nothing really came of that but at the very least it was more exposure that she could use to her advantage.
2. She has done some modeling in her career.
It’s kind of hard to find anything on this which might mean that it was something she tried and didn’t pursue to heavily. It seems that she was more dedicated to acting than anything, which is great since she’s pretty good at it.

She had the role of Rosa Santos. It’s hard to talk about soap operas when you’re not a fan, but something tells me that she performed just as well on this show as she has in her other roles.
While she hasn’t been seen in a lot lately that doesn’t say a lot, as she could be auditioning for roles as we speak.
