Sweet Mother of GOD!!!
Last night’s Teen Wolf still has my mouth on the floor. I’m having a hard time trying to type and keep my jaw in place, but I will manage both tasks to discuss this epic episode with you guys. There is so much to discuss that I don’t even know where to begin, so I’m just going to jump right into the thick of things.
Allison KNOWS Everything!
Not only did Allison find out about her heritage and birthright, she also accidentally found out about Scott’s own secret as well. To make matters worse, Allison found this out right after she and Scott finally reconciled after Scott told her how much he loved her. Talk about heart-ripping stuff!
The opening scene with Allison driving and replaying her conversation with Kate was a brilliant blend of writing, acting, and direction and Crystal Reed simply owned tonight. Allison’s earth-shattering revelation that Scott is the beast in her weird fairy tale had me seriously wanting to take the girl home and console her, because she’s on the verge of snapping into a split image of her aunt Kate… which leads me into the next shocker of the night.
Kate and Derek are PAST LOVERS?!
Talk about totally unexpected. I mean the chemistry between Derek and Kate was there all along, but now it
makes sense why it was there in the first place: They’ve already experimented with each other!
Not only that, but Derek has some type of connection to the Hale house fire, which could explain a lot of things if you look at the big picture, namely Derek’s reasoning for falling into rank with his Uncle Peter’s plans (besides trying to take him out on the side). Derek’s guilt has probably been what has been driving him all season, either to cover up his involvement or to make amends for his past mistakes. I bet when Peter finds out about this little connection with the Argents, he’s not going to be howling in joy. Or, maybe Peter already knows and wants to secretly take out Derek himself. Dear God, the possibilities are endless!
As for the relationship between Kate and Derek, wonder if it truly was history repeating itself? Was Kate an innocent doe-eyed girl who fell in love with a werewolf like her niece? Or was Derek the gullible werewolf who fell into Kate’s trap? Hmm…
Jackson’s a Turncoat and Get’s Lydia Hurt in the Process!
I knew Jackson was a weasel in Abercrombie & Fitch clothing, but seriously where is this guy’s mind at? He has serious “All or Nothing” syndrome and it has gotten to the point where he thinks being a werewolf would be the top prize to secure his quest for ultimate dominance. Yea, he might have the attributes of an “alpha” male, but there is a huge part of me that tells me he wouldn’t live up to the role. I know I’ve said it before, but I’m just reiterating my opinion.
Now, let’s get on how Jackson sold out Scott to the Argents’ in exchange for nothing. After Scott saved this man’s life and taking a bullet for him, you would think Jackson would be more buddy-buddy with his fellow lacrosse co-captain. But nooo… Jackson had to get back at Scott for scaring him into taking Allison to the dance, because his ego was bruised. Hopefully, Jackson won’t think that he can still join Club Howling after that little lapse in judgement. Plus, Mr. Argent knows exactly what Jackson is truly searching for and will no doubt keep an eye out on Jackson to see if he follows through with his quest to become a wolf.
Then there is Lydia. Poor, poor Lydia, who just wanted to be loved (by a Neanderthal jock) and ended up getting seriously hurt in the process. Even though Peter considered Lydia being a part of Scott’s “pack,” I still think that he gained nothing in hurting the girl, besides getting answers out of Stiles. Will Lydia be the one who doesn’t make it out human? Peter did bite her after all, but will she survive her wounds? I seriously hope so, because we need to see more of her with Stiles. I see a Summer Roberts/Seth Cohen thing with these two and she could prove hella useful in the future given how smart she is. Fingers crossed.
The Man of the Hour
Scott might not be able to be everywhere at the same time, but he will surely die trying to do so. One thing you can say about Scott is that he’s resourceful and can seriously think on his feet. He fooled Peter twice and you have to hand it to the guy for using Danny as a pawn in getting their lacrosse coach off his back during the dance. With quick wits like these, how can you not like the guy?
Which brings me to Scott and Allison making up in light of all the tragic drama in their lives. Bad timing
much? However, Scott had gotten built up the guts to tell Allison the truth, but she unfortunately was only looking to have some sort of normalcy in her life and I doubt him telling her about his “condition” would cause her to swoon at that moment.
Now that the Argents and Allison know about Scott, the finale is going to be all types of suspenseful, mostly due to finding out what Allison will do now that she knows the truth.
What The Hell is The Vet?!
Okay, so the Vet wasn’t the Alpha, but does that mean he’s the other Alpha? I ask this question after talking to TVO’s forums moderator Pixie Wings, who believes The Vet is the mythical second Alpha that has been rumored since the beginning of the season. However, I don’t think Scott’s boss is the other Alpha due to the guy using mountain ash to secure his office, which he himself would be allergic to. Although I could be totally wrong, especially since that chair splintered into a million pieces once Peter lunged it at the Vet. When it is all said and done, the Vet has to be some sort of supernatural creature and I am totally ticked that we didn’t get a clear-cut explanation as to what he actually is. I hope this is solved next week in some capacity, because the mystery of the Vet is killing me!

Last nights episode was crazy. This show should win an award for the way they craft every episode so perfectly that by the end youre already waiting for the week to go by faster. Anyways, I am still wondering who the vet is. I like the possibility that he could be the other alpha but what if he is an "Omega" referenced in the "Search for a Cure" webisodes. Also in the sneak peek for next weeks it shows peter about to bite stiles asking him "Do you want the bite"? Crazy stuff! One last thing, as for someone dying i dont think it will be lydia because thats what they want us to think. Knowing the makers of teen wolf its going to be someone way out of left field.
I think that Aunt Kate is going to die. And I have to say I wouldn't be upset. She is evil. Can't stand her…she needs to go. I think Lydia will be 'turned'.
I think that in the preview for next week Peter is asking Jackson if he wants the bite. I think it would be a major disaster to turn that kid. He's a ticking time bomb. He would be SO much grief to the rest of them if he turned. Total exposure.
Poor Scott. My 'WTF' moment last night was when his mother called Peter back for a 2nd date! Um….the guy was creepily stroking your face and acting all serial killer and you want a 2nd date!?! What is wrong with her!
I think it was pretty clear that Kate was not in love with Derek…she used Derek to get the identity of the rest of the pack. If you'll recall she used the same tactic with the chem teacher to find out how to make the fire untraceable (seduce them and get information). I think he may have been in love with her but if she had been in love with him she wouldn't have killed his family.
Derek's only connection to the Hale fire is that he revealed the identity of the pack and Kate killed them…whether or not Peter knows this or not hasn't been revealed. While he didn't tell Laura…he did tell Scott that they (he and Peter and hopefully Scott) were going after who was responsible…so it's possible that Peter may now know.
As for Jackson…I think that there is something more than a bruised ego going on. Like his parents said…he tries to prove himself because he is adopted. He never feels good enough(totally insecure) and now he has it in his head that if he becomes a werewolf he'll finally measure up so much so that he runs out into the woods to be bitten by the alpha when the last werewolf(Derek) tried to kill him…he's losing his mind if you ask me. Who goes looking for it when it looks like they want to kill you? As for Lydia…the only reason she and Jackson aren't together is because she made out with Scott…in that case who can blame him for dumping her…most guys would.
I also think the indication was that Lydia was bitten…they show Hale opening that mouth of his and when she's on the ground there is blood. Whether she turns or dies will be the big question and the sneak peak given this week makes it look like the offer to be bitten goes to Stiles…will he accept? Like the promo said I think the big questions next week will be about who dies and who is turned…and this week we are left wondering.
If Jackson had outed Scott on purpose he wouldn't have asked Argent not to harm him…I think Jackson again was scared…he's drunk and in the woods alone with guys with guns and he's just confessed that he wants to be a werewolf to people who kill werewolves. Jackson is weak and when he's in danger he usually does whatever it takes to save himself(think of him with Derek)…I don't think that is the same thing as wanting to get back at Scott.
One complaint I had last night was the jump from the scene with Stiles and Jackson where Stiles was trying to find out what Jackson did to the scene with Stiles running to help Lydia…I don't know if that was an editing issue or a lack of continuity but I know I wasn't the only one it bothered…others have commented on other sites about it.
Most hilarious moment(glad for a little humor) was Scott and Danny dancing and the coaches reaction…gotta love it…as far as I am concerned the show really shines with it's humor.
Most awesome moment…the Vet and Peter's showdown.
The thing that bugged me the most…the fact that after Derek saved Stiles from Peter…Stiles keeps silent about Derek having Scotts phone endangering Derek in the process.(Derek took the phone thinking that Stiles and Scott would use it to find him yet Stiles kept mum about it) People seem to be more forgiving of Stiles because they like him but he endangered Derek's life in the same way (and even more so since Derek is already captive)that Jackson has put Scott into danger by outing him. The difference…Jackson was drunk and scared and in one moment….Stiles knowingly did it for the entire episode completely sober and aware of what he was doing…that doing so might get Derek killed. And yes I do like Stiles…one of my favorites but I'm not going to just candy coat his actions because I like him…cause I like Derek too and I don't want to see Derek die.
Which is why Jackson is not to be trusted. The adoption thing can only go so long before people stop giving a damn. I understand that he has some serious neglect issues, but it shouldn't be a saving grace for his behavior. Plus, he's been gunning for Scott all season, because he's a threat to Jackson's image. I agree with you on him selling out anyone to save his own hide, but I'd be lying if I said I had any sympathy for him this late in the game.
As for the Kate/Derek thing, I went by her "history repeating itself" dialogue of how Allison is in the same boat as Kate was with Derek. I couldn't help but think that maybe finding out Derek's true heritage was a snapping for Kate, especially given her birthright as a werewolf slayer. I don't know. I mean, I can buy that she didn't love him, but she had to have been pretty damn convincing to dupe Derek into falling for her.
Last nights episode was crazy. I strongly believe the vet is a wolf,maybe alpha of another pack idk.but peter seemed to respect him in a sense…and I could be wrong but the way scott looked at allison when her father and the other guy was about to hit him.I think next weeks episode will start with scott thinking allison set him up…it looked to perfect through his eyes not to be…anywho I can't wait till next monday
I really am interested in the relationship between Kate and Derek. Their past seems epic and action packed. Their scenes in episode 11 were really hot. Derek is obviously tortued – he loved Kate and hates himself for it at the same time.
Kate – is an enigma I really don't believe she's as cold as she pretends. I bet she really loved Derek but it's easier to pretend it was all a game.
I can't wait for it to evolve.
Derek and Kate are now my favorite couple on the show.
I loved the episode and look forward to the many directions the plot can take in the finale and in season 2. Derek is the most interesting character. I want him to have a love affair with Stiles. Now THAT would send the fur flying! Kate would amp it up a notch or two and Lydia's inner demons would go berserk.
the vet is an omega werewolf which is the other type of werewolf you can be there are 3 types beta alpha and omega hes the omega. a
Last nights episode was breath taking and the best one yet .
Starting with Scott dancing with Danny verry funny.
And then ldyia being ataked and alyson finding out her birthright as a werewolf hunter then getting back together with Scott and finding out that he's a werewolf .
Then there's Derek and Kate and there past togethr.
Can't wait for the season finele but I don't want it to end.
This episode would have made a fantastic finale- I can't imagine how they are going to top it on Monday…but knowing Teen Wolf, it will be mind-blowing!
I like the thought of an Omega werewolf- perhaps the Omega does not need to adhere to the usual rules of lycanthropy, much like the Originals on TVD- the usual things that repel them/kill them, don't.
I have to say how much I absolutely LOVE Stiles- he brings it each and every episode. It's been a while since we have had such a quirky, lovable but totally dependable and stand-up guy on TV. The way he ran right up to Peter to save Lydia? Awesome!
I *really* have to find a promo for the finale, they don't play it on MUCH up here. :(
And Mark, next week I'll keep my mouth shut and not spoil you 2 minutes before the end of the show! ;)
Omg in a way I hate that the finale is next week but I also can't wait to see it … Lydia most likely will b turned and if she doesn't and she dies I'll b pissed off!!! But if she does turn Stiles might end up turning to b able to b with her idk but I honestly hope Jackson or aunt Kate might die leaning a lil more on Jackson … what will Allison choose Scott or her family?!? Which btw seems pretty freakin mean!!! What's gonna happen to scot will Allison kill him , could she do that to the only guy she's ever loved or will her dad hmmm … what will happen I totally can't wait to watch next weeks!!!
I think peter asks allison if she wants the bite cause if allisons a wolf then her family cant kill wolves anymore and i think lydia dies. For some reason im not sure why but i think jackson may be related to dereck because he said he remembered screams and the stairs at the hale house and since hes adopted then it really could make since but not for sure
