Netflix is set to drop a new horror mystery-thriller series. Titled The Midnight Club, the TV show is scheduled to premiere on October 7, 2022. Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong create the series. Flanagan has previously worked on other horror projects like Ouija: Origin of Evil, Dobaara: See Your Evil, Gerald’s Game, and Doctor Sleep. Fong, on the other hand, is best known for her work on another notable Netflix horror movie, The Haunting of Bly Manor.
The Midnight Club is based on a novel of the same name by novelist Christopher Pike. According to IMDb, the story of The Midnight Club “follows a group of five terminally ill patients at Brightcliffe Hospice, who begin to gather together at midnight to share scary stories.”
Aside from a compelling storyline, the movie also promises an intriguing assembly of cast members, most newcomers to the business. Iman Benson
Iman Benson is set to star in The Midnight Club’s upcoming TV series. Benson is best known for her recurring role as Reagan in the Netflix sitcom Alexa & Katie. She then proceeded to star as Drea Barris in the hit series BlackAF. More recently, after years of working in comedies, she appeared in an episode of Creepshow, a horror anthology series.
Born in 2000, Benson is a newcomer in showbusiness, but she’s already promising to go far in the industry. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she explained how she pursued an acting career: “As a kid, I was just always intrigued. My dad was a cinephile while growing up, and we went to the movies every Sunday. And so, when I was nine years old, I started doing theater, and that kind of created my love for the craft. And from there, I started doing many commercials and stuff like that, a little voice-over work. And then when I was about 15, I did my first television show. And from there, I just got hooked.”

Her IMDb profile shows her return to acting as follows: “While living in Tokyo for 2 months, Aya was scouted by a talent agency on the streets. However, due to not being a local, she was rejected. The incident sparked a new interest in her, and so, after returning to Vancouver, she signed with her former agency in 2018 and began to work towards acting.”
