Forest Whitaker and Tom Hardy Will Be Teaming Up for ‘Havoc’

Quite a few people are more than willing to comment on the pairing of Tom Hardy and Forest Whitaker for the upcoming Netflix movie titled Havoc, which will be billed as a tense crime thriller that will deal heavily with a bruised and beaten detective that will have to take the hard route through the criminal underworld to retrieve the estranged son of a politician. Apart from that, there’s not a lot being revealed by the movie, but the unique pairing of Hardy and Whitaker is interesting enough to get the attention of a lot of people since it’s something that would appear to be quite popular with several of those that have heard about the movie. This is a pairing that a lot of people might not have expected but to be certain, both men have managed to star alongside several noted actors in their time, and have given everything they have to give in each role. Thinking about how they’re going to mesh on set is kind of interesting since they both have very distinctive acting styles that are quite versatile and have been highly pleasing to many audiences over the years. Also, when it comes to working in movies that deal with corruption, law enforcement, and thrills, both men are pretty equally gifted, just in different ways.

Whitaker is the kind of guy that’s usually seen as a deep thinker, someone that uses his head quite often before he resorts to anything else. Hardy is the kind of guy that’s been known to be far more physical than cerebral but is able to excel in both ways since his turn as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises was evidence of how he can play an intelligent but brutal role all at once. Coupled with Whitaker’s ability to be physical but also to be an intelligent character in the movie, one can’t help but think that these two are going to put in one hell of a performance that people will be talking about once it’s all said and done. The only downside is that it would appear that filming isn’t going to begin until the summer, which means that a 2021 release date isn’t something to get too excited about since it probably won’t happen. But 2022 will see the movie appear on the site and likely will make a lot of anxious viewers happy to see this come out as they’ll be waiting to see what both men can do. Between now and then however both men will be plenty busy since between acting and producing, Forest will have plenty to do, while Hardy will be busy promoting Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage, which is supposed to be coming in September.

There’s plenty to be done and there’s no doubt that both men will be occupied before filming starts, and it’s very likely that there’s plenty to do before the project even gets underway since writing the script is bound to take a while and there are many other steps needed to keep things running smoothly. The movie might need a little more hype and a lot more polishing at this point since while the short description is all well and good, the driving force behind it right now is the star power that Hardy and Whitaker are bringing to the project. There are bound to be a few other well-known names added to the mix before everything is said and done, but as of now, it’s interesting to think of how the two main stars are going to make this work and what kind of on-screen chemistry they’ll have since being able to act with another human being is an important matter that can make or break a movie. Given that both men are highly-skilled professionals that have been at it for a while and have made it clear to everyone that they have what it takes, it’s very easy to think that they’ll end up getting along simply because they know it’s in the best interest of getting a paycheck, and keeping the people around them happy. It also feels as though both men are able to get along with pretty much anyone so long as they’re afforded a bit of respect and aren’t given a reason to dislike a person.

While the story might need to be tweaked a bit to make it really exciting, it’s fun to think that the inclusion of this pair will take care of a good portion of the movie and will be easy to build around. There’s still a long way to go until it’s a worthwhile movie though, and it’s going to be a long wait, much as it will be for a few other titles that people desire at this time. But hey, the wait is usually worth it.
